Did Ripley scrimmage Dresden? Or was it Gibson Co and Dresden?

Wrong of me to do this, but I'm basing it off what I saw Huntingdon do to Ripley. May not be a fair assessment, but I think Huntingdon, Dresden, and Wayne Co are the top teams in single A from west. And that's just going on what I think Dresden had coming back. Haven't seen Lake County so I really can't speak for them. Notice there's a lot of "I think" in this post. Just my thoughts.

Wayne Co Huntingdon winner represents the west! LC will make a run but still a year away

I agree with you and what Shocker says in his post. I think LC has a chance of beating Dresden ,but are a year away. But maybe not. Have to see in in live and good competition.

That's right. You just never know until you play the game. Nobody should ever take anything for granted in football. Too many things can happen to sway the game. Good luck to the Falcons this year. Sounds like y'all are on the rise. Single A ball is like a roller coaster, up and down. You know our ole ball coach was there in the early 90's, I think?

The falcons will win this one 33-14 if not by much much more if Tanner Synder is QB1. If the other kid is in the falcons will still come out on top. Halls might throw on them a little bit, but the falcon defense will stop any run game they can bring at them. Wouldn't be scared to say the falcons will score 40 plus this Friday night!

Lake County might just arrive one year earlier than everyone thinks. LC will be a very tough out in the playoffs for anyone in the west. Huntingdon, Wayne County and Dresden are the preseason favorites from the west and rightfully so but I have been around football for along time and can tell when a team has the ingredients to be special.  LC has that. It will be an interesting year in the west this year. Better get LC early because I'm telling everyone they will be hard to beat later in the year. Everyone is selling Halls short. They have a good quarterback and some wideouts that can catch the football. Add in the fact it's a rivalry game and anything can happen.

Coach Rice coached LC in 91 and 92. The 91 team started the season 7 and 0 and got hit with a rash of injuries. That team finished 7 and 4. Losing on the road 9 to 6 to Bruceton.  Bruceton went on to the semi's that year. Many people around here felt that team without the injuries would have won the state title. His 92 team went 5 and 5 with all sophomores starting. Coach Rice left LC in 93 but he built the foundation for the 93,94 and 95 LC teams that made deep runs in the playoffs. Coach Rice is one great coach and Wayne County should feel lucky to have him. Interesting fact LC's 94 team beat Coach Rice and Wayne County in the quarter finals of the 94 playoffs.
