BGA vs Goodpasture

BGA absolutely dominated this game. #7 QB for BGA was the storm forget Harvey. Very impressed with this talented kid. BGA defense fought hard all night to slow down the cougars run game and holding them to 0 passing completions. The cougars looked one-dimensional on Offense very easy to defend as BGA just stack the box on every play. The cougars seemed unable to adjust. Not sure what's going on there?

BGA will be the toughest rival for CPA. It's a two team race!

Goodpasture will be fine but they lost a lot of players from last year. They just aren't able to defend the pass and their passing game is really off so far this season.

CPA is still the heavy favorite in the region IMO.

After watching the video of last night Goodpasture gave up 2 quick long passes that BGA scored on early in the 1st qrt.  The Cougars were able to move the ball on the ground and Elders ended up rushing for the 122 yards with one TD.  Mid way in 2nd qrt Goodpasture was driving to score when the game was 12 to 7 and then fumbled in the red zone.   After that BGA QB #7 took over and scored couple times and going into to the half it was 28 to 7.   BGA's QB ended up 125 rushing and 252 passing yards with total 375 yards out of 473 total yards for the team.  #7 was responsible for 5 of 7 TD's and is BGA whole offense take him out and BGA is a very average team.    BGA is not very big and from what I have seen from the sidelines will have trouble with the size and speed of CPA.

Speaking of CPA being the team to beat this year I remember last year CPA started off the 2016 season 1-5 and were out scored 181 to 48 and ended up going 4 games deep in the playoffs before losing the Liberty Tech for the chance to play for the title vs Alcoa.  Goodpasture has had some injuries and a few players that have not even had the chance to play yet.  Not sure the Cougars are completely out of the picture just yet.

This post is comical. Nothing like a homer. Goodpasture, let me assure you, is completely out of the picture right now. This team has 3 yards passing on the season. Elders is a nice complimentary back but not a feature guy and that is the role he is being asked to play for GCS. BGA has tremendous talent at all of their skill positions and a very good QB in Martin who can get them the ball. To suggest BGA is a one man show is ludicrous. Comparing last years CPA team to this years GCS team is similar to comparing apples and bananas. CPA had a very large, talented 2019 class and a brutal schedule to start the season last year. They also had one of the top coaches in TN leading the way. GCS does not have that level of talent in their large 2019 class and in no way is Joslin running in the same coaching circles as Ingle Martin. GCS should enjoy and live off last years memorable run because thats gonna be the lone bright spot they have over the last few years and the coming 2-3 years as well.

BGA will not sniff a championship with this team this year. CPA will beat them by 3 scores or worse. The top end teams in DII-AA are just way too good for the mid-level and below teams to compete with.

LOL For the last 12 years I followed several middle TN area schools Franklin, CPA, NCS, Lipscomb & Goodpasture to name a few.  I get the chance to video from the sideline and see up close most of these teams.   Like I said in numerous posts on CoachT, CPA is the team to beat and may have the hardest schedule in the state the last 2 years.

CFAfan Like I said in my earlier post that got you all angry for BGA.  If you remove #7 from this 2017 BGA team they are an average team at best.  All of BGA hopes are riding on the play of #7.

Trust me Goodpasture is not out the picture they have only played one region game.  If you look at how the playoffs are structured in this division you may get a chance to see Goodpasture play BGA again in the playoffs.

Ingle is a good coach and so is Joslin.  Not sure why you feel compelled to put down a very successful coach with 135 career coaching wins and over 35 years of experience at Gallatin, Cookeville, JPII and now Goodpasture.   Joslin from 1994 to 2011 did not have a losing season.  Yes Ingle is a great coach as well with less than half the experience.

Now I understand Eagleville was missing a few guys, but they still. They. Run. Ruled. Eagleville. 1st single A team to run rule Eagleville since when? Pre 2017??

All this to please the 1% Club and the 25 people that would come to see it. All in the name of WOKE!!!!!!
