  1. I think DCA is just so down that this score is Inflated. DCA did not get a first down the entire first half. They had no pressure in GP backfield at all. Don’t forget GP led the state in pick 6 last season. The run game will be there bread and butter. This game is no Judgment of GP season to come. Only a revenge game from last year we’re DCA broke them off. GP does look to be more Organized especially on offense. I would put GP a head of FRA in final standings. FRA could not move the ball on DA D#... Not sure if it’s from losing their main threat do to injury. Or is DA D# the truth?? Not to mention how bad DA ran and pass all over FRA! If GP continues to get better and stays free of injury they could jump a spot in playoff standings. Remember they only need to win one game to make playoffs in there division. Who are they going to knock off Lipscomb, FRA, do they jump up and bite BGA. Is CPA out the question?? CPA almighty didn’t show good against Lipscomb score says which has already predicted a win over GP!!!! Does GP fall to there only win a season ago?

    NCS @ FC

Not sure who wins both team have a great running back average lines. Nether can throw well. They kinda mirror one another. I give the edge to NCS played a tuffer schedule.
  3. Playerscoach ha you are funny!! I watch GCS all year it’s definitely more of the same. I love your optimism.
  4. GCS by far has had the worst scheme on offense and defensive out of every team they played this year. They are not better then any of the single-A they played this year. So if Grace is said to be better than all them. Then I expect more of the same.
  5. Just got invited over from the DII AA thread. Had no idea was going down with this much passion from the pirate fans . I love it. My two cents is GCS Would have never be Lipscomb had their quarterback and running back not gotten hurt. Also there was an exceptional play by the freshman cornerback #6. A individual effort hustle play where he never gave up on a play and punch the ball out the back of the Endzone at the goal line when Lipscomb’s star running back slow down on 70 Yard scamper. On another note GP offense of line is the only return unit from last season. They also graduated nine starters on defense. IMO It does not matter who’s line is bigger. I’m going to go with who has an identity and who does what they do well. And I’m here to tell you that every time the ball snapped in Madison there is a jailbreak. Not very familiar with South Pittsburgh but from what I’ve seen they do give miss direction on the run game which helps out there Lineman. On another point I’m so sick and tired of hearing is how Goodpasture has a new kid coming back and eligible for the first time. IMO the only one that’s even made a difference is the senior #23. In addition to that the kid that so-called best lineman hasn’t even played a game. So stop with that!!! GCS Qb #13 is so gun shy in the pocket I think he’s regressed. With all that being said if GP can stick to the run and just take shots here and there limiting their turnovers which have cost them in every game they played. Stopping SP run is thief only chance. Which I do not think they can do. Both GP corners only about 5 foot 7 125lb. Best of luck!
  6. You could also get some of theses middle TN DII A team to jump up and even thinking up.
  7. Ha!! You said to much. Davidson kids are leaders in DII A..
  8. CFAfan my expectations were not Beat CPA. However, I do expect them to show improvement week end and week out, to try something different or do something different especially on offense. Guarantee you Bigchief Coach Martin would not be doing the same stuff that gets him smashed every week. And to your point this is Coach Motes coaching staff besides Coach Joslin. Should I not have any expectations out of this program? Should I not see the coaching staff to try to find some kinda identity. Or except the that our kids are going to lose by 30 every week. Ha!! I refuse to except the premise that the talent level has fallen off that drastically to where GCS is a just a running clock by halftime every game. Especially the FRA game in how they have fared against other Opponents . We probably still lose these games anyways IMO but the margin of loss just seems to be getting Wider. So for me to watch us never make adjustments and keep on doing the same thing is where frustrations takes over. When our Opponents second string is shutting us down. Can’t nobody tell me nothing. We have got some good players.
  9. With another week gone has the DII AA playoff pix change at all? I know that some schools do not have any Region games left.
  10. CFAfan!! We will have to agree to disagree. GP does have a drop in talent however they are not being coached up either. Congratulations on the win last night I like to see how far CPA can go . The worst coached GP team I have ever watch. GP did not score until CPA’s 2nd String was in the game while playing starters till late in the 4th. Also GP add a score late on 3 string. Totally out coached on offense looked pitiful, at what point do you do something different.

    Goodpasture

    What does that even mean???
  13. I am taking Davidson in this one. 28 to 21

    Goodpasture

The lost to FRA was as bad as I have seen at Goodpasture. Even worse than the 0 and 20 run the 2 season before last. The GCS faithful don't see how this gets any better over the next few years. Thoughts???
  15. So true! I agree they are looking at a 1–10 season. Because they will make the playoffs with thier win over Lipscomb. GCS offense line is less than average. However, these are the same kids that started last year. The difference is GCS had probably the fastest kid on the field for every team they played last year #6. This year is a different story lack of edge players and skilled players. And 9 new starters on the defense. This year team seem to be getting out coached it not all on the players.
  16. 15 to 7 Davison academy. #3 Stone Norton with the long pass right before halftime. To break a stalemate of punts after two open drives for scores by both teams. Also Davison with a trick play for two point conversion. GCS look to have the run game going. However top two running back's were not in the last two series of the first half. It's going to be interesting to see how this game progresses.
  17. This game should be a good one. These two teams traditionally don't play in high school as they fight for same players on the north side of town being only about 5 miles apart or less. However, Davison looks to be on a roll and the favorite in this game according to their record. Or has GCS turn the corner in their first win of the season. Thoughts???? Also could a win by either school be a draw for kids to come play in their program? With their only being two options for D2 in North Nashville.
  18. Last nights game against GCS they had some injuries that probably kept them from winning the game. QB and starting tailback both left the game hurt.
  19. It was a lot closer than the score. GCS had trouble with there run game. However did figure it out late. GCS had 2 interceptions and 1 QB lost fumbles inside the red zone that cost them badly or game would have been a lot closer.
  20. The problem is not the cougars run defense. They faced a really good running back in Memphis Briarcrest. Missing both starting linebackers. Also In their other two early season opponents it wasn't the run game that gave the cougars trouble. It has been their opponents passing attack. In addition the cougars were missing one of their starting corners this past week plus they're getting a starter back in the secondary off injury that has not play the entire season. The bigger question is can the cougars mount any kinda off passing offense? They have more interceptions than completions relying heavily on the run. The inability of the cougars to stay on offense has lead to the cougars being highly out scored.
  21. BGA absolutely dominated this game. #7 QB for BGA was the storm forget Harvey. Very impressed with this talented kid. BGA defense fought hard all night to slow down the cougars run game and holding them to 0 passing completions. The cougars looked one-dimensional on Offense very easy to defend as BGA just stack the box on every play. The cougars seemed unable to adjust. Not sure what's going on there? BGA will be the toughest rival for CPA. It's a two team race!
  22. DCA was faster at every position for the most part. Also they had a very savvy quarterback who missed on a couple of throws that could've easily opened the run game up that was pretty much bottled up by GCS. DCA look to be playing a lot of iron man football as kid we're going both ways. Big ups to there conditioning. Not sure why GCS #3 didn't come right in! He definitely looked the part especially after the long throw before the half. Or the big question is why was # 13 ran in and out of the game after throwing up on the field 3 times in physical pain? Only to return for good and seemed to throw things in and out of rhythm. However not sure if it really would have mattered GCS O line looked out matched across the board. DCA #53 look to big and fast for the cougars. Going forward if GCS looks to make any noise in their District they will have to fix the leaks on the line. GCS # 4 ran hard breaking tackles in the backfield for positive yards given some space he will really make a difference for this cougar team.
  23. Sophomore interested in trying out 6 foot 3. Can play the 1,2 or the 3. Just whatever team needs, versatile player, good defender.
