CHARGERFAN
Let's discuss this one. Being an in-county matchup of schools only 3 miles apart, this will be a battle for bragging rights. Brighton is 1-2 and Covington is 2-1. Since Brighton is 5A and Covington is 3A, you would think that Brighton would automatically be favored. Emotion will be a factor here though. Sonny-Moore Power Rankins have Covington at 111 and Brighton at 103. After giving Covington 3 for home field advantage, the Chargers are favored over the Cardinals by 11 points. OTOH, the Score Predictor picks Brighton 34, Covington 31. So, the computers give a mixed message. I would love to see my Chargers win this one, but Brighton has been tough to beat lately. Thoughts? Truck78
Prediction..covington will make up for losing to brighton the last few years. I think they found their identity last night, can't remember last time Covington has had the ability to move ball down field in the air. The protection for qb is as good as I've seen in a while. CHARGERFAN
I hear that Brighton is getting some injured players back on the field about now. What's the impact of that?
fanoffootball2013
I pick the chargers in this one.. They have been moving the ball well the last two weeks. I see them doing the same this week and the defense stepping up against the pas attack of Brighton. GO CHARGERS !!!

plumb69
Did Brighton miss the bus?
CHARGERFAN
Brighton had no answer for the Charger defense. Really, they shot themselves in the foot. If you are going to put your QB in the shotgun, the first thing that you have to do is snap the ball to him correctly. Brighton must have snapped the ball low and on the ground 7 or 8 times, resulting in at least 2 fumbles lost. As an example, they had the ball first and goal at the Covington 5 yard line. Low snap back to their guy, who recovered but was tackled at the 22 yard line. Second and goal at the 22 resulted in no score for them. The Covington wing-T continues to impress, adding in a few passes to keep the defense honest.
