24-7 ba at half - ba has ball to start 2nd. Ba had to shake a little 2 week rust off but got things moving.

KC looks great at times but I just don’t think they can run the ball on ba. Ba started to play the pass better after the 1st big catholic drive and started to get pressure on qb.

i like the KC q b — good arm / quick and good receivers. Ba started to control the lines as they have all year -made things tough for KC in the 2nd.

Are you talking about Cade Mayes?

What a dominating performance by BA. They once again prove why they are usually regarded as the best team in the state. Mercy ruled a team that took Maryville down to the wire. Wow. I don't think anyone's beating BA this year. MBA alll probably give them a game like usual. But it's tough for me to see anyone else beating them.

Knoxville Catholic has got to be the best team to get mercy ruled twice in Tennessee history.

You talking about the 320 lb kid that likes to throw around 180 pound guys  ... and holds all the time and gets at least 1 personal foul  or unsportsmanlike conduct ....  and taunts the crowd  .. you talking bout that guy .. cant remember his name ..

Now I really know why KC wanted no part of playing with the big boys in the Private playoffs ... Brentwood, MBA , Ensworth ... so they stayed so they beat up on publics with all their new recruits from Ky, Indiana , Grainger Co ... still trying to figure knowing some of those kids and parents how they affording those 4,000 yearly tuitions  .. hhhhhmmmmmmm

That guy cant remeber his name has been doing those things since he was a feashman .. alot of supporters said OH he is just a freshman .. he will mature ... well 4 years later still doing the same thing .. KC coaches have NO control over him .. he is giving the whole team a bad name .. and there are some good kids on that team that have followed the class that was taught to them from Amari Rodgers and Chase Kuerchen  .. those 2 kids have tons of class ... I guess when you are a star or supposed star you can do what ya want and the KC coaches ignore it or look the other way .. I would like to know how many personal foul or unsportsmanlike penalties this kid ... i cant remeber his name has gotten in 4 years ...

The hate and jealously runs deep on this board.  You don't even know this kid.  By the way he did more than hold his own last night.  One player can't win a game. You supposed grownups or kids should get a life and stop trying to bash a great football player.  He can only block the people that are in front of him.  Everyone says he is holding while recruiting services say he is dominate.  Wonder who knows football better?

    • They’ve both gotten worse. I’ve seen enough games to know that.
    • The only two transfers that Bearden has gotten that went on to play college football were a defensive back from Karnes, who transferred here way before the new coaching staff got here, and a running back from Carter, who went on to play at Maryville College. Both players received those offers while at Bearden, and both players got a diploma from Bearden High School. Therefore, they are Bearden kids, and you can’t do anything about that.   The transfer from Seymour didn’t win the job, what do you expect two quarterbacks to start at the same time? He played great on JV when he could stay healthy, and when he came in on varsity, he did great. The quarterback position is definitely going to be in good hands when the current starting quarterback leaves, but until then, they’re just going to be battling it out like every good quarterback competition does. The current starting quarterback has his flaws, and that is in the pass game, but what he doesn’t have flaws is running and scrambling, and if you go back and watch any game, which I’m sure you didn’t watch any, we used him very often, and when we needed a deep ball, we brought in the transfer from Seymour. The starting quarterback last year will be a senior this year, and the Seymour transfer will be a junior, so the Seymour transfer is definitely going to get his spotlight. He may even win the job this year. Football isn’t about who the newspaper thinks is the best kid. The best kid in the position will win the starting job, and I trust the coaching staff more than a newspaper or article to pick my starting QB.
    • I mean, we’ve only gotten two transfers that went on to play college football, one who went to UT Martin came his second semester junior year before the new coaching staff was here, and the other one went on to play at Maryville College, in which I don’t believe he had any interest prior to transferring.
    • An FYI: To see how an opponent has done against another opponent since 2001- go to the game by clicking on one of the teams. Click the G beside the game. For example, Milan: The info will show you the previous matchups and other info.
    • All these college signees went yo other schools for 3 years, were getting college offers then transferred to Bearden. It’s not like this staff did much to develop them.    The BBall coaches son and the Seymour transfer were some of the most talented QBs in the region, and you guys developed them into QBs who might complete one pass a game.
