1st Round: CCS at Webb (The Rematch)

Well Webb most certainly doesn't have the easiest first round playoff game out of the higher seeds. In fact it's probably the toughest draw. I know CCS felt they could have won the Webb game had they not had some costly turnovers. Who wins the rematch? Can Mondo be great enough to get CCS past the favorite Spartans?

Webb defiantly shows mercy, almost too much for my taste. They pulled the starters against Silverdale second quarter. Lets be honest CCS is a LOT better than Silverdale.

We did the same thing Sparty....it was absolutely the right thing to do to let our young pups get as much playing time as possible. When you're up 45-0 with 6 min left in the half, there's just no need to risk injury either.

You'll run the clock on CCS, if you want to. My guess is you'll pump the brakes like we did to work on some things and get some other kids additional playing time. Never know when you're going to need them to step up in the playoffs!

Keep an eye out for the CCS throat slash pre-game show. That was interesting......and motivational! Oh, and watch out for all the GA cars coming to the game....I didn't know GA kids could play TSSAA sports???? How does that work?

The Georgia state line is 2 miles down the road and it's a private school. 

I don't understand the problem. McCallie has kids from Canada & Europe.

No problem with it....just didn't know it could be done. I don't begrudge any kid from trying to get a better education one bit. We chose that for our kids too. We've just been here since pre-school. It really was more just wondering how that can be done within the TSSAA guidelines, and at the same time there are all sorts of hurdles for a kid to go from one school to another within the state. Let em go wherever they feel is the best situation. I'm good with that! The education is what's important anyway for 99% of these kids.

Now that I've seen all of the teams in the D2-AA East, these are my observations on how the teams stack up.

ND, Webb & GCA are much better than the other 4. I think on any given day, one team could beat the other two. ND might have a slight edge, but it's not much.

Then there is a BIG difference to the next group of teams - CCS, CAK & Boyd, which I also believe are really close. All three of these teams are better than Silverdale - but not much better. The difference between the top 3 teams above and this group of 3 teams is much larger than Silverdale vs (CCS, CAK or Boyd).

And the difference is mostly team speed.
