Will there ever be a Morgan County High School?

I know it will probably never happen, but it’s fun to think about. I’m sure it could compete with the Knoxville schools it would probably be aligned with and play. Maybe even beat them. Just always thought it was fun to think about.

I'm surprised that they haven't combined a couple of those schools already.  Particularly Oakdale and Wartburg.

Combining the schools in Morgan County wouldn't create some stellar program.  Coalfield has been the only consistent winning football program out of the county for the past three decades.  It would just make for a higher classification and getting our tails whooped.  The population of Morgan County is just to small to compete with the other County schools in the state in my opinion.

I agree with you all, I never thought of it this way. You’d probably just end up with another Scott High. Getting blasted every week by Fulton and Austin East and only competing in games like Union or Claiborne County. Probably better left alone.

The most likely combination would be combining oakdale and coalfield and putting it in bitter creek. With current enrollment number they would still be single A.
