the conditioning is horrible. they are getting more gassed as the season goes on. like an mma fight were one guy just gets grounded and pounded until his face is a bloody pulp so he gives up his back and gets choked out. That's been forrest 3 out of 5 weeks. and will be again this week. i expect 14-0 or 21-0 in the first quarter. fumbles, bad penalties, vanilla play calling.  out of 11 guys on the field 2-3 look like they care. some senior talent that is severely underused. etc.

Looking at their roster last year after we played you guys I really expected the Rockets to be improved from last year. There was size, physicality, and youth last year.

Most of the size and physicality graduated. Our "young" 2017 team had seniors playing 3-4 offensive line positions, a quarterback, our breakaway running back, the entire defensive line, linebackers, and safeties. This year depth is a huge problem. We may have close to 50 on the roster but after 16-17 players there is a big drop off in talent. The majority of these kids are in the program year round - conditioning shouldn't be a problem.

I hope LC doesn't overlook the Rockets. LC can be very good when they stay focused and play as a team. By the way the first time LC played Chapel Hill was in 1954. The other 3 times was in the playoffs in 1979 and 80 and last year. Seems like a lot of years between games.

Your coaches had better not show them our last two game films if they don't want the kids overlooking us.  It's been brutal.

Forrest is falling apart. Bad offense Bad Defense.

Coaches who cant read or manage a game and seem in over their heads.

No discipline.

Watertown, who is a very good team, laughably spanked the Rockets and had a 49-7 lead in the 2nd quarter. It seems that nothing is too humiliating for Forrest.  Lewis doesn't have the talent over all of Watertown, but this game will be over by halftime.

I have to agree with you.  It is very sad to watch this Forrest team this year.  Personally I put the downfall on the coaches shoulders.  New HC is in way over his head.   Anyone can see this.  Anyone that has been around Chapel Hill and has watched these boys play over the years know that this team has way too much talent to be losing in the fashion they have been.  The group of Juniors and Seniors on the field have always been in the top and playing for championships when they are the big dogs on the team.   I am not saying that they should have been in a position to win State, but they are so much better than is being reflected this season.

For the life of me, I do not understand why they are not working to capitalize on #2's ability.  Just because Forrest has ALWAYS been a "pound the ground" wing T offense doesn't mean they need to stay that way.  This kid has had colleges looking at him all summer and now they don't get to see anything because you don't know how to run an offense.  Running to the sideline for every play is crazy.  Not only is it a serious waste of time, you are wearing the QB out.  If these guys aren't capable enough to be able to have a play called in, they shouldn't be out there.  They didn't even do that in Jr. Pro ball.  Go to shotgun.   Have a little faith in your players.     Use your players to their strengths.  #13 is completely under utilized.  He lays as hard a hit on offense as he does on defense and keeps pounding through but isn't given the chance.  When he does get the ball, he has no blocking.  Seems his primary function is to do the blocking for others.  Why change his position on defense?  This kid has been an outstanding safety for years.  He is a beast on defense.  Why is he not playing defense at all now and you have a free safety that is scared to take a hit and literally takes a knee every time a larger kid runs at him?   Current safety is a sophomore, he doesn't have the mental or physical toughness.  Come on Coach.  Forrest has several Seniors standing on the sidelines watching that have much more ability than a lot of the underclassmen out there.  Do you want to win or what?  Obviously winning is not high on the priority list.   It is not hard to figure out what our offense is going to do.  Either #6 or #14 are going to run the ball.  Shut them down, you've shut down the whole offense.  It isn't rocket science.   You have some kids out there that can catch a ball if you actually practice those plays.

Make this a team sport again.  These guys are not playing as a team.  It is hard to do when there is arguing between the players and between the players and coaches.  Poor sportsmanship is rearing its ugly head again.  The unsportmanslike penalty for a punch to the helmet of a Watertown player after the play was uncalled for.  Doubt that trying to embarrass the offender by making him do bear crawls up and down the side line worked though.   They appear to be a very divided team which is unfortunate.  It is just a very disappointing season for these boys.   I fear that you may be right in saying they may end the season with only 2 wins.
