As far as what my worries and concerns are for MJ in this game it ALL has to do with the AT TIMES inept offense we have. They have struggled here and there (lost our starting QB for the season our last preseason scrimmage), the biggest issues I see is an inexperienced  but athletic QB, an Oline that has been pushed around too much at times, and some bad play calling . on the contrary they can strike quick thanks to the plethora of options we have at running back and receiver. Our defense is stronger than ever, against station camp we only let up a kickoff for a TD, against Gallatin we let up a FG, shutout Overton, let up 10 to Lebanon, with most games our 2's being put into play against the opponents starters. With the defense definitely being our strong suit, I see our offense being able to string together enough big plays and our defense doing what it does best, to another nice victory against a strong athletically gifted HHS team.

Can anyone inform me on the HHS defense in detail?

HHS has good speed and size up front Rockom can be an absolute terror to contain and will be in the backfield all night being disruptive.  They play solid on the edges and get lateral pretty quick. I would say that if you can keep them on the field they do soften near the end of the 3r qtr... But the key is stringing together long sustaining drives. They are not exceptionally big at the safety spot, and jump ball can be played with tall wide outs. I look for this to be the toughest test so far for the Bears.  HHS will likely give them a heavy dose of the run option and try to bait the Bears in and hit them over the top for the big plays. Should be a great game. This will be a tough match for Blackman in week 2 of the playoffs with either team. Good luck stay healthy and see one you fellas soon.

What are you talking about here? Alvin Mixon was always going to be the starting quarterback for Mt. Juliet this season.

Are you maybe referring to Jorie Green? If so, he was clearly the backup quarterback and it wasn't close. His condition has not hampered Mt. Juliet on the field even in the least this season.

    • Well, I’d hope the new coaching stuff thinks they are all that because they can always walk around the school, anytime they want, thinking that, especially for what they’ve done for the student athletes and the players, putting more kids in college in his first season than the old coaching stuff did in numerous years combined, but we will just sweep over that because I know you don’t like facts. But trust me, nobody wanted Mr. Big britches, made the star player switch to quarterback, which is ultimately the reason he ended up transferring to play the position. He loved, but unfortunately, had to be at another school because Mr. Big Britches doesn’t like when a teenager knows more than him, but can’t expect much coming from a guy who used all class throwing pencils up into the ceiling and making fun of football kids who were failing class right to their face, and in front of numerous students, even projecting on the board most of the time.
    • After that first paragraph, I can see why you’re a TA and not a teacher. Have you made the move from South Knoxville to Bearden yet?    Maybe he left because he is an actual teacher and coach, and didn’t want to be associated with a group of foul mouthed middle school coaches who like to pretend they’re big time.
    • Yeah and the coach is gone. Whole bizarre situation here. We played them a couple of times at MTSU last few years. She was a player for sure.
    • This whole situation is bonkers. You don’t just kick your star player off the team just because you heard them say the F word; the coach definitely had something against the player, or somebody definitely did. Also, nobody has brought up the idea that the school blackmailed the college to get the college to withdraw the scholarship offer, not to mention that the coach who kicked her off is no longer even with the program; they were fired. I think this is a pretty easy lawsuit. I don’t know if she should deserve that much money, but I think she should get enough money for a full-ride scholarship if she cannot get one after this situation.
    • Oh yeah, I’m sure you are different people just always on the same thread for some reason, always agreeing with each other, perhaps just a bunch of dorks who would like to ###### and moan about high school football coaches do a lot of other students, so you make a football team and get a yell at them. When they do something wrong, but I’m sure you don’t like that, do you?   and I’m sure I’m aware of where you get information. A teacher who was on the coaching staff but was fired after the new coaching and staff came in and realized he actually had to start taking his assistant job a little bit more seriously than just wanting to make a little extra cash on the side, hardly even showing up to most practices, should’ve left with his buddy to go to Farragut. I’m sure he could get him a defensive coaching job, but I doubt he will be there in three years. Looking at the way Farragut is currently going.
