TrenchDawg
Why is this not state sanctioned/why aren't more people pushing for it to be?

cbg
Are you asking for Powerlifting to be sanctioned as a TSSAA sport?
TN425DC
Powerlifting (squat, bench, deadlift) or Weightlifting (Clean and jerk, snatch)? Only asking because a lot of people switch/confuse names.
kevlevrone
Hi there. So what the problem or question is, I don't understand? We have both Powerlifting and Weightlifting. Both of them has its own rules, federations and championships Edited March 20, 2019 by kevlevrone
cbg
When E.J. "Doc" Kreis was the strength coach at Vanderbilt and Middle Tennessee State University he was pushing for the TSSAA to sanction some type of weightlifting as a sport. If people are able to remember he would go around to various high schools and have competitions on Saturdays that were sponsored by Coca Cola. Doc was way ahead of his time because this was the late 70's and early 80's.
