Red Rebels
Will there be streaming? I know that tower on Holston Mountain has a big reach, but I can't get it in Maryville?
HTV
It's not a major thing, but it's important to us who live here: Powell is not "Knox" Powell. Powell High is located in Powell, TN 37849, not in Knoxville. It's just plain Powell High School.

Well, even then Powell was Powell and Powell Valley was Powell Valley.

When they announced the games on their Facebook Live the other day, that's what they called it, so that's how I typed it. I'm not familiar with any of the teams outside of upper east Tennessee, so I didn't know myself.

It always has been. Now some of the schools in Knox County used to be Knoxville City Schools, but Powell has always been in Knox County's System. Powell does have their own zip code though. My son played football and baseball at Powell. I did radio play by play for Powell football for 12 years. Been in this community now for over 25 years. Not once have I ever seen anything at Powell or heard anybody at Powell refer to the school as "Knox Powell". It's Powell High School. Period. It's funny that it's always outsiders who try to tell us what the name of the school in our community is.

For years I've heard the following examples and never knew it was such an issue... Knox Powell Knox Carter Memphis East Chattanooga Howard Maryville - Heritage Murfreesboro Oakland Clarksville Northwest Kingsport Dobyns Bennett Jackson Northside I could go on and on, but really just don't see the big deal in Knox Powell.
