In just pulling out the East, they are ranked in this order.

  1. Boyd Buchanan
  2. CAK
  3. Notre Dame
  4. CCS
  5. Knox Grace

The obvious mistake is Grace not being at the top of this group. The rest are about even.

Crazy that the voters don’t pay more attention...

i would rank these East Teams as follows:

1 - Knox Grace

2/3 - CCS /Notre Dame

4/5 - Boyd/CAK

pollsters have it basically upside down.

Just checked & Sonny Moore has it:

1. Knox Grace

2. CAK

3. Notre Dame

4. Webb

5. CCS

6. Silverdale

7. Boyd

i normally think Sonny is fairly accurate by mid season, but I don’t agree with a lot of these outside #1. I would be shocked if CCS isn’t in top 3 & also shocked if CAK is in the top 3.

One thing it seems is that all the teams have moved toward the middle of the pack. Knox Grace is the only team I can see making a playoff run.

sonny for once this early in a season has come to save your predictions......not sure if anybody can expert this region right now....but Boog can tell u one thing...everybody gonna have a payday bar floatin in their pool over this one......

......as far as that playoff run......4 of these teams will make a playoff run cause 4 of them will see a playoff.....thats a run....

maybe FBFan51 can explain what a run is

Booger just sayin

This division is as wide open as it’s been in a while (I know it’s only been a thing for a few years, but even going back to the old D2A.) I think there are realistically  6-7 teams that could win the whole thing depending on how things break. ECS is probably the favorite and we will learn a lot about Lausanne when they matchup next week. CPA may be finding their stride with the big W last week and Lipscomb still seems to be a bit of an unknown. Not sure about the guys on the east side of the state, but the voters seem to like a couple teams over there, if you put much stock into those.

The AP voters don't have a clue. Everyone in the East knows that Knox Grace is the best team (by a good bit), yet they are the 5th rated East team in the poll. The top 2 poll rated teams are barely average teams & will finish middle of the pack.

Not so sure about this one. Grace has played a mediocre (at best) Stone Memorial team, a bad York team and beat Notre Dame, which isn't the same ND of past years. They're really down. So, at this point, I'm not sold that GCA is the front runner. Several region games ahead that will help shake things out. I'd say we're a solid top 3 team in the east.
