Nolensville has a very good team. LA probably didn’t play their best, so gotta give Nolensville credit.. they came to play. Good luck the rest of the way.

LA seniors.. nice ride!! Good luck in the future! The young guys need to hit the weights, practice and step up to lead on and off the field next season. Go HOG-EYE!!

Unfortunately, Nolensville looked like Alcoa tonight. No rhythm established in the offense and defense played extremely loose. Their QB looked like a Mr Football semi-finalist. Nolensville had the answers and a much better prepared team.  Nevertheless, a great run though for the boys and a memorable year.  On to the the hard court!

LA folks were very welcoming and gracious.  Wish more fans were like yours. This is new territory for Nolensville and the kids are just enjoying the ride.  No idea what will happen next week but the stadium should be rocking and there will be memorable moments for both teams.

Congrats to Nolensville on a well earned victory!

    • Playing high school sports is a privilege not a right.  The college did not have to rescind the scholarship.  Scholarship offers are pulled all the time for a number of reasons. That was 100% their choice.  A coach can keep, cut, or dismiss any player that they want to without reason anytime they want.  Is that the right way to run a program?? I don't think that it is, but these are the facts of the matter. This case has absolutely 0% chance of going in the plaintiff's favor. Futhermore, I'd imagine that these administrators and the coach are a part of some teaching or coaching organization that will cover at least 1 million dollars each in legal fees. Obviously the kid and her family feel like there were "damages" thus the lawsuit.  Unfortunately, the law is not on their side in this case.
    • Maryville will recapture the loses from last year against West, Bradley and Farragut. The Bearden game will be the tough one but I look for the wheels to come off that ride somewhere down the road because of all the crap that goes on there. I know to many parents there and some of the things I've been told and some of the post a few of them have made on facebook. They all can't be liars.
    • If Heritage moves down and Alcoa moves up the best thing for Heritage is to do what William Blount did when theystopped playing Maryville or meet certain defeat. Honestly can't see Alcoa not moving up the way the county is growing. Might be in the Mountaineers best interest to stay in 5A because none of those teams on their schedule are anything close to Alcoa.
    • I say over as well. Barney, regarding the move to 4A, will the cross-town blowhards move up as well??
