It looks like that have hired from within. Just waiting on the official announcement.

Alot of times in these situations the kids in the program have somewhat of an influence. Several factors that probably come in to play on this hire.  The kids were probably pushing for the in-house guy because that relationship was already built and hes a likable guy from what I've heard.  The administration don't have to find the new guy a spot in the building, he already has one, and if there are any open teaching spots that will give Coach Owensby a spot or two to bring people in that maybe hes comfortable working with.  As previously mentioned the current Principle is on his way out the door and could probably care less at this point because its all a gamble anyway, just because someone was good somewhere else doesn't mean they will be good at another and so on. I think maybe one of the biggest factors that may have played out as in any new hire is had they hired outside there is  no guarantee that the new guy would have wanted any of the current staff to help and at least not in the roles they were used /or the current staff wouldn't have wanted to work for a outsider so to speak and the school probably felt it was to big of a risk to loose two or three teacher/coaches and have to go through the trouble of replacing good teachers.  Remember education first in the eyes of the Administration as it should be.  At the end of the day they went with the safe hire in the eye of the administration. Good luck to Coach Owensby and the kids in that program.

      This whole situation is bonkers. You don’t just kick your star player off the team just because you heard them say the F word; the coach definitely had something against the player, or somebody definitely did. Also, nobody has brought up the idea that the school blackmailed the college to get the college to withdraw the scholarship offer, not to mention that the coach who kicked her off is no longer even with the program; they were fired. I think this is a pretty easy lawsuit. I don’t know if she should deserve that much money, but I think she should get enough money for a full-ride scholarship if she cannot get one after this situation.

      Oh yeah, I’m sure you are different people just always on the same thread for some reason, always agreeing with each other, perhaps just a bunch of dorks who would like to ###### and moan about high school football coaches do a lot of other students, so you make a football team and get a yell at them. When they do something wrong, but I’m sure you don’t like that, do you?   and I’m sure I’m aware of where you get information. A teacher who was on the coaching staff but was fired after the new coaching and staff came in and realized he actually had to start taking his assistant job a little bit more seriously than just wanting to make a little extra cash on the side, hardly even showing up to most practices, should’ve left with his buddy to go to Farragut. I’m sure he could get him a defensive coaching job, but I doubt he will be there in three years. Looking at the way Farragut is currently going.

      It may be hard to believe but there’s more people than me that think you guys are a bunch of losers.    I’m sure the coaching staff, yourself included, cursed at a bunch of high school students. Nobody could name more than 3 coaches on staff due to the constant turnover.

      That's complete BS.  Nobody at ACHS has access to CHS student records unless a transfer is made from CHS to ACHS.

      Trez's last scandal has died down, so I guess this is there opportunity to be the best 4A team playing in 2A a la Sissy MTN.  At least they won't be in a Z-district with 1a teams in the regular season.
