Honestly, I thought Boone played a good game last year. They started to figure out how to play without Charlie that game.

That is true, but going back to 1972 Boone's overall record against Elizabethton is 2-32, so even when we play then tough we seem to find a way to lose.      Elizabethton did not play their best game last year either, I don't think they were that concerned since it was Boone.   It's hard for kids to be 100% for every game unless you're Maryville......

Who replaces Maupin at RB and is this person a power runner or speed RB?

Will probably see Avery at RB some too. He would be more of a power back and Stephens will be the speed back. If need be Deuce could fill in a little too.

Trying to game plan for that one would’ve been tricky too. When Charlie was healthy you kind of knew what was coming every play. When he went down it changed the way Boone had to play. Blair did a great job feeling in but losing White to injury was a double whammy.

Nate Stephens is one of the backs for Betsy and he has a ton of speed and is a sophomore this year.

I always felt like the offensive pieces fit perfect last year with a power back and running Rollins on the edge and throwing to Hughes.

It will be a little different this year for sure. But having the entire offensive line back should help a lot too.

Very true and if they use Deuce this year a little at RB he would be very hard to tackle.

5A is always a 1 or 2 team race so it's laughable to say 5A is stronger. As for Alcoa they have our number, as they do with any other team not named Maryville in the state. That being said EHS has given Alcoa their toughest playoff game in recent memory then the next year EHS moved to 4A. I think it was only a matter of time until EHS could pull off an upset, not annually but the gap was getting closer.

Help me to remember, didn’t Greene beat Alcoa in 2011?
