Fayetteville beat Forrest in 2017, but Forrest controlled much of that game and melted down in the 4th.

Huntland beat Forrest in 2014 but Forrest had 8 kids out. And it was back and forth.

When is the last time a 1A team slapped Forrest around so completely like this? AND AT HOME.

The talent edge goes to Moore, but the coaching difference is Grand Canyon-esque. Forrest is a paper tiger that stubbornly insists on a monotone, tonedeaf, out of tune system regardless of the talent.

It has cost them many games over the years, but never has the comical arrangement of letting Lion's Club bureaucrats run this program been more apparent than in this game. Financial considerations are not the only reason Forrest doesn't keep coaches. It's that people who actually understand the game get tired of Lions Club people meddling in how the offense and defense is run. It's a joke. And it's shameful. And this isn't a hypothesis. It's fact.

Do what's right for these kids and open this offense up and put your best 11 athletes on the field on defense.

Moore- Trash fans, Very good football team.

Moore County is a very good football team. They look like the 2a school. Forrest looks very average at best. Not able to stay for whole game unfortunately but maybe Forrest turns it around. Announcers on radio are a little hard to follow but I am old it’s probably just me.

You maybe old but it ain’t you.

    • Never said I thought it was a smart decision. I'm scratching my head at it too.
    • If he wanted to play QB he should have either went to Heritage or William Blount and had a real good chance there. In stead he'll be exactly what he was going to be at Maryville. They already know who their QB is going to be in 2025 and it ain't going to be him.
    • Easier said than done. The man who ran for 250+ yards and 3TDs is gonna be back….and a lot bigger.
    • plus it removes the pressure around winning.
    • You are correct.   The teacher's pay scale is virtually the same in Knox County, now, as it is at Oak Ridge.   The coaching supplements are still higher at Oak Ridge, from what I was told, but not a huge difference.   Plus, Rusty is going from a position coach to an OC position, which is what he was at South Doyle and where his comfort zone is.  And from a special education teaching slot to a PE teaching slot.  There is a lot of positivity in that move without even considering the coaching aspect.   Anybody who sees something negative here is just looking for negativity to begin with.  But some live in that world.   Really good hire for Brent.  He now has two experienced and quality coordinators and can concentrate on being a head football coach.
