Schools were handling contact tracing individually. It was taken out of their hands by the county health department. An overly aggressive system of contact tracing has been put in place and it looks like Willco football and other sports won’t survive it.

This is utterly embarrassing and ridiculous!! Contact tracing is pure insanity, especially for kids who show little to no symptoms and will be perfectly fine.

Looks like the gold ball will once again be handed to East Tennessee. Three middle Tennessee contenders are in Willco.

No they’re not. But from here on out each Willco team is going to play each game with a significantly depleted roster from quarantined players. And that’s if the game isn’t outright cancelled. Schools will be sending hundreds home quarantining. Not an exaggeration. Thousands amongst all the schools.

Lol does anyone on here think Maryville will put football in jeopardy by putting in a hyper aggressive contact tracing program? They like their football up there.

Significantly depleted roster?? Do what? Other than injured players, when they return to play everyone can play. There are no mandatory season long quarantines. It’s 10 days I believe in most places. All those Williamson County schools should be at full strength by the playoffs, regardless of seeding. And they’ll be a tough out too. It will be Brentwood, Ravenwood, or Independence in Cookeville to play Maryville or Dobyns-Bennett in my humble opinion.

I think he is referring to there could be 5-6 or more players out per week depending on tracing.  It is a 14 day for exposed and 10 day for a positive test.

That will likely run its course in two weeks and they will be back to full strength afterwards.
