Loudon at McMinn Central

Coach Harig has always been a good sport when it comes to not running up the score but our kids haven't played a lot in the 2nd half and he was trying to get reps for our young line. He did have a lot of backups on the front line (mixed with a few starters due to us having our main line kids out). The play was a simple dive play with a backup RB to end the game and it was just unfortunate that it ended the way it did. I know that coach Harig has a ton of respect for coach Davis and his team. I do believe that coach Davis is turning things around at Central and when he has a couple more years there Central will be back. I'm still super impressed with #26 for Central tonight. That kid was probably the toughest kid on the field tonight.  Prayers for Isaac Brown for a full recovery.

I don't  mean no disrespect logcabinman  I  just know central has a really rocky road to travel this year and that wears  on the mind eventually.  I actually  went to both mcminn  and central  when I was in school.

Your statement in very true.  I figured this would be a tough year, but proud of the effort, especially in the first half.  They ware down, so many kids going both ways.

    • TSSAA restrictions for hiring non-faculty coaches have been removed for over a year at this point. In the past a non-faculty person had to be "grandfathered" by being an assistant coach for five years, being fingerprinted, and having a background check run per TSSAA rules... since those were rescinded, the board of directors for the school district are responsible for any/all restrictions on hiring non-faculty personnel. I guess what I'm saying to you is that if you really wanted what you posted, it's already possible as long as your local BOE will allow for it.
    • stop it, rlh. you’re gonna get me all misty eyed and sentimental.    i see seven fairly regularly. ….but slim shady, that’s like spotting bigfoot on main street. you just hope he doesn’t spot you.
