We moved the ball better then we have all year tonight but had way to many turnovers. Defense played a lot and they played very well. Happy with a win always but shouldn’t have been close! FryinPan, why didn’t they practice?

If Heritage would have showed up and played how they are capable of they would have Won. Again, hats off to Westmoreland, but Heritage had no business losing that game. I’m not sure why they didn’t practice, but it definitely showed. I’m sure Coach Dickerson was pissed about that Loss, I know I am.

This game shouldn’t really have surprised people. Region 5AAAA is 1-5 against region 4AA with the lone victory a 16-7 win by Heritage over East, the last place team in 4AA. They have been out scored by 58-154 by our region. We could have scored much more on White House (as H2O could have) and Portland. Most of the 58 were tacked on after the JV was in.

That’s against our bottom teams, lol. I’m not taking away anything from Westmoreland, but Heritage would beat the Eagles most nights. The Patriots weren’t ready to play and didn’t take Westmoreland seriously. That’s on our coaching. If Watertown or Trousdale County play Springfield or Creek Wood, I would take our 4A schools.

Good luck to your region in the playoffs.

I can’t speak too much on Springfield or Creek wood because I don’t keep up with them but the H20 team is for real! I will say about Heritages number 5 that come in and played QB I believe three a pretty solid ball as a back up. At least I think it was 5, what grade was he in?

Springfield is 8-1 and has been to the State Championship 2 out of the last 3 years. They will meet Creek Wood who is 9-0 this next Friday for the Region Championship. Taye Francis is #5 and he is a Junior. Will Wilson #16 has really struggled his Senior Season. Our most physical player, #27 Jackson Mapes has been banged up all season. Speaking of throwing, I didn’t understand when Heritage decided to throw on I believe it was 1st Down inside the Westmoreland 25 and the Patriots threw a pick. At that point, Heritage was running the ball at will and had a chance to tie the game with 6 minutes left. Coaches overthink things, lol.

H2O would compete really well with both of your top seeds.... that I’m 100% certain of. Would they beat em who knows, but it would be competitive.

    • It was not ACHS at all, they have zero reason to worry about Clinton.  It had to do with a kid (non football player)  that had a charge and appeared in front of the juvenile judge.  The judge saw that the kid was way behind credit wise for his grade and told him to reappear in a month with a plan to graduate.  When the kid reappeared he had more that twice the credits than one month before.  The judge called BS and contacted the school.  That is what started the investigation.  This involves multiple students, but to this point no athletes are involved.
    • I believe the Covington Chargers travel to Trenton Peabody for a scrimmage today? Anyone going to this? Curious how the Chargers will do.
    • Good ole Bradley Zulliger. He was a really good QB @ OR. Fun to watch.  Wore #15 and was like a mini Tebow, with the exception of being right handed. He could take a pounding and keep on ticking. Played with a collapsed lung against Powell that year. Tough as nails.
    • They should be pretty good in year two for Rang.  Replacing most of the offensive production losing Dozier, Hayward and Rembert , but they're are skill kids in place ready for their shot.  I know I say this every year, but the o line should show improvement after two years in Rang and Kevin Day's weight program.  I still would favor West over Plow and OR come November.  The Rebs will have to grow up a bunch between now and then, and will probably take some lumps along the way with that schedule.  But I predict come playoff time they will be ready.   One of their coaches half joked to me that they could go 5-5 regular season and win the state championship.  Ha ha.
    • there will be a couple of teams, that could make some noise
