Playing now all over West TN in Jr. High. We played football when cases were high. He think that it is a better chance of players getting it playing basketball than football??

Listen bro, I want the kids to play just as much as you, and I think they should let them. I just told the board what Childress had to say about it. I don’t make that decision.

I highly doubt basketball gets cancelled.  I think we move ahead just like football.  There is so much more we can do to limit attendance and require (not suggest) face coverings before we should even consider not playing.  I have been to several middle school basketball games already and it hasn’t  been strict at all.  We should be willing to do whatever to make sure kids play.

I just read the article. It is in The Chattanooga Times Free Press and he said he thought basketball was more dangerous than football because of closer proximity. I can’t believe he said that. The article says basketball and wrestling season in doubt. I am not a tech guy so I don’t know how to link it.

    • While I appreciate being credited with multiple accounts, I have to say that is not true. Will you please report back to your people that I am not someone who provides sharp, witty banter, but rather someone who is putting the shoe on the other foot for some people that have been repeatedly bashing others here and in real life for the past few years? Everything that I have stated has been backed by factual evidence or public record, so no need to be sharp and witty.
    • Yes this process is moving slower than I would have expected
    • also was told coady auston applied, he served as defensive coordinator for greenfield under don pitt several years ago before going to Obion county
    • TSSAA restrictions for hiring non-faculty coaches have been removed for over a year at this point. In the past a non-faculty person had to be "grandfathered" by being an assistant coach for five years, being fingerprinted, and having a background check run per TSSAA rules... since those were rescinded, the board of directors for the school district are responsible for any/all restrictions on hiring non-faculty personnel. I guess what I'm saying to you is that if you really wanted what you posted, it's already possible as long as your local BOE will allow for it.
    • stop it, rlh. you’re gonna get me all misty eyed and sentimental.    i see seven fairly regularly. ….but slim shady, that’s like spotting bigfoot on main street. you just hope he doesn’t spot you.
