What official "All State" source is better, or best guide TSWA, or TNFCA.  I would tend to lean toward the TNFCA being that it is voted on by coaches, and not media persons.  Curious on everyone's thoughts.

Couldnt agree more.

Based on what i see on TNFCA, looks like TSWA is more legitimate.  TNFCA seems more like it's trying to get a few from every team.  The sports writers on the other hand don't appear to be interested in that sort of thing.

Nah, TNFCA is the more accurate one.

Do the sports writers really even know football?  I would say probably 98% have never played the game.....lol I could be wrong though?

Problem is if your head coach is not a member of the TNFCA then no player can make All State and they cannot play in the East west all star game.  Not to mention the more we'll know. Coaches that have been around have more pull for their kids.

The sports writers is a joke as well.  They are very unknowlesgeable and have their favorite coaches as well. All are biased and all are crap.  None of us can truly say who should or should t be on the team because we cannot see every kid in the state.  To the victor goes the spoils and that is how it will remain

True, but if "All State" went off of stats, and impact of player to there team, then it would be almost accurate.  Most coaches do, but MAKE all coaches put there players stats in unapproved website, and then select the kids that way.  JMO

Thats like me saying that if Kollie played on another team in so called other region with better players as you like to put it he would have put up better numbers not being keyed on the entire time having a better team around him.

DC got put out by SD who made it to the Semi's losing 27-20. (It wasn't a blow out).  Kollie put up 2TD's and over a 100 yards rushing against that D who put out your bobcats the next week 21-14.  Kollie never left the field this season and ended up with crazy numbers (181 carries for 1,562 yards and 26 touchdowns. He also had 13 catches for 290 yards and three TDs and completed 10 of 15 passes for 85 yards and led the defense with 109 tackles and also made an interception) because he was the team after graduated Larkins and Hackler

Kollie only played every other possession first few games of season on offense.

Kollie is a great player, but I still question the competition he played through the season as compared to other players. I mean if you put some of the other players in that region, they would have put up video game type numbers. Just my opinion

Kollie is a beast. He was a man amongst boys this year. Such a great kid every time he was interviewed he mentioned God the first thing.

    • While I appreciate being credited with multiple accounts, I have to say that is not true. Will you please report back to your people that I am not someone who provides sharp, witty banter, but rather someone who is putting the shoe on the other foot for some people that have been repeatedly bashing others here and in real life for the past few years? Everything that I have stated has been backed by factual evidence or public record, so no need to be sharp and witty.
    • Yes this process is moving slower than I would have expected
    • also was told coady auston applied, he served as defensive coordinator for greenfield under don pitt several years ago before going to Obion county
    • TSSAA restrictions for hiring non-faculty coaches have been removed for over a year at this point. In the past a non-faculty person had to be "grandfathered" by being an assistant coach for five years, being fingerprinted, and having a background check run per TSSAA rules... since those were rescinded, the board of directors for the school district are responsible for any/all restrictions on hiring non-faculty personnel. I guess what I'm saying to you is that if you really wanted what you posted, it's already possible as long as your local BOE will allow for it.
    • stop it, rlh. you’re gonna get me all misty eyed and sentimental.    i see seven fairly regularly. ….but slim shady, that’s like spotting bigfoot on main street. you just hope he doesn’t spot you.
