Wk2, Greenfield @ Dresden

Tickets have to be bought online. The link is on FB, see Dresden Quarterback Club and Dresden Lions Football pages. I guess Greenfield has pages too with their own link? To get percentage/gate money for themselves? Or is it same link for both schools?  idk how that works. And can someone show up at game & buy digital tickets(s) right then, or does it have to be ahead of time with a cut-off period? Lots & lots I don’t know, but ssshhhhhh, don’t tell anyone, I do have a reputation you know. Haha!

Dresden got kickoff, drove to G’fields 35, but Jackets stopped them on 4th down. Turnover on downs. .. on their second play Greenfield fumbles & Lions recovered ball on 40 yd, On Next play.. TD DRESDEN!  .. missed pat, 6-0 Dresden.

G’field returns kickoff to 40. Moves ball for several first downs.. Lions’ D let’s a receiver loose, Jackets ball on 6yd line, 1st & goal.. Lions penalty- half the distance, new 1st & goal.. Jackets TD on 4th & goal.. pat missed, tied score 6-6.

Lions return kick back to 45.. Jackets hold them 3 & out, Dresden punts it to 4yd line. End of 1st Qtr. 6-6.

G’field was held, 3 & out, had to punt from endzone, Lions take it back to 25 yd line. .. moved it to 15, then Lions fumbled, recovered, plus we got a 15 yd penalty, 1st & 30yds to go, .. trick play Lions (double reverse pass..), G’field penalty of interference, Lions get 15 yds added, still 3rd on 15, Lions caught it, 4th down & inches on 4 yd line.. SMASH MOUTH Football.. .. uhggg . Jackets HOLD,, then flag on Lions, 15yd for G’field, their ball on 20.

First down of second period, it’s 3rd & 14 to go Lions D was called for interference, penalty gives G’field new set of downs. Another 3rd & 15, their pass knocked down, punts to Lions. Dresden has ball after offsetting (& confusing) penalties on punt, our ball on 35. Lions moving ball… eating up yards in Hodge-style .. we then go to passing, Jackets almost intercepted... (could have been a pick 6 for them), we were held to a 4th & 5, did a short quick pooch punt to 5 yd line. G’field starts deep, but instead of letting clock run off they go to passing with 2 mins until half.. gets out to 35, last play they had looong pass caught but time runs out. (Dresden D is weak on passing tbh). Jackets 2 min offense moved the ball. Half ends at 6-6 tie. Jackets get ball next half.

GUESS WHAT!?!? ***FINALLY*** after all these years, Dresden HAS A BAND! THE ROAR pop band. Betcha we’ll have a marching band soon. Luv it!
