As for Volunteer they could surprise DB Friday night.  They looked fairly good against WR at times. The QB is good and has a couple of guys that can catch. And I'm 100% sure they'll be running wide open all night. If DB can't get a lot of pressure on him up front he will have a big night.  I think it will be a 30-14 or 30-21 type of game.

I wouldn't be shocked to see Volunteer score three times ,especially if their QB has time to set in the pocket.He took a lot of hits last week and if DB can remind him that it doesn't feel good,maybe he will make a few mistakes or throw a couple up into the stands.

It sounds like the game plan should be for DB to bring the house on every passing play.   There is always some risk with that but if you have a questionable secondary then a good QB will pick you apart all night.

It would be really nice if DB can sit in a base defense and get heat without bringing the house on every play.Even I could figure out how to call some screen plays or something quick right where the backers were.

The problem is DB can bring the house and the receivers are wide open or they can sit in a base defense and the receivers are wide open. The only chance they have is to get the QB running for his life.

Polls are a waste of time. The top two or three are all they ever have right. The only poll that was ever 100% correct was the WaCoJaCo top 10 poll.

Volunteer likes to air it out, so I expect they get at least 2 scores on the suspect Tribe pass defense before 48 minutes is played next Friday in the friendly confines of JFJ.  I'll go with a final of 42-14 Tribe to get to 2-0 before more challenging opponents come a'callin.
