Wk.6- So.Fulton @ Dresden (homecoming)

Will all the distractions of homecoming festivities get the Lions out of focus? Will those Red Devils be “a devil” to Dresden like they did a few years back, when they beat us 14-12, and they dug in with a great goal-line stand keeping us out of the endzone AND out of the playoffs (first time in awhile we not make it).. will it happen again? With a lopsided win (& very unexpected to many) last week over Gleason, will the Lions slack off & think this will be an easy win too, no problem? (Talk about a recipe for disaster!). It can’t be said enough, nobody ever wins on paper stats, past records, or predictions of gurus! The game is played on that field of battle where ANYTHING can happen! As long as everyone is healthy with no injuries is the main thing, always the top priority on wish list, & next to that is, uhhmmm, let me think here…,hmmm, well, .. I’ve concluded next to no injuries is a big fat goose-egg on that nice, new scoreboard for the S. Fulton guests side on the right, and a HUGE large double digit amount for Dresden’s score on left side, something past the 50’s maybe? .. hehe, not being mean, just having fun with fandom smack-talk. No joke though, if Lions don’t give their top effort & if we bring a losers mindset (oh, this is easy. We’ll have no problem), we WILL get beat. They did it before to us & no doubt can do it again!!! Methinks we’ll have right attitude though with a great effort and we’ll see improvements in all areas of our play. Still lots of areas we need to work on.. which IS happening week to week. Coach Hodge is showing the football world around here that Dresden was super smart in bringing him back! Now if we can just keep him! .. GOOOO LIONS! #1 ALL THE WAY!

South Fulton is coming off win but they start 7 freshmen. Not enough experience for this game. Dresden rolls.

Ummm.....not even close. Dresden will rest the starters by the 2nd quarter.

I guess most saw the news about Mike from Friday Main Event. .. heartbreaking. .. sad indeed.. lots of great comments too (even inspiring).. I openly say without shame, my tears are freely flowing, not just from my eyes, but from my soul.. prayers for family, and everyone.

SF was held to 3 & kick, then a few first downs for us, a 45 yd TD, Dresden up 7-0.
