Region 5 vs. Region 6 playoff matchups

Here we go. It’s one of the most exciting times of the year. The high school football playoffs. After some shifting in the off-season and newly formed regions, here’s what we go this year. 
 

1 Green Hill vs. 4 Franklin County

2 Columbia vs. 3 Mt Juliet

2 Station Camp vs. 3 Nolensville 

1 Page vs. 4 Wilson Central

 

I would assume anything can happen in any of these games. That’s what the playoffs are all about. I’m extreme excited and hopeful for my Patriots and being able to make a big run in the playoffs this year. 
 

How does everyone see this quadrant shaking out? Any Wilson County folks able to share some insight into their schools while we wait for Friday? I just want to try to know what to expect since all I can look at is scores.

Should be some good games.  I'll take Green Hill, Mt. Juliet, Nolensville, and Page.  MJ has lost a few in a row, but seemed to play better against Green Hill.  Not sure what's going on with SC.  I think I saw a 12-6 win over Hunters Lane.  If that is correct, they are not playing well.

Right now, I’m leaning towards Green Hill, Page, Station Camp, and Mt Juliet. I bet Station Camp will get it together and Mt Juliet is playing well right now so I think they’ll win at Columbia and get the chance to rematch Green Hill.

Well, I was dead wrong about a couple of those. 
 

Major credit to Nolensville and Columbia both on their performances. Just going off the score and stats it sounds like they both played excellent football games. Green Hill is a young program and they found a way to win. That’s all that you have to do in the playoffs. Can’t wait for these round 2 matchups. 
 

My Patriots played excellent and picked up a great in round 1. I am so proud of them once again. It’s been a great year and I can’t wait to see them keep playing important football games. Now it’s time for a big time rematch with a county rival.

This is still Page's bracket to win.  This has been a rebuild year for Nolensville after losing strong back-to-back senior classes.  They are maturing and might be the region favorite next year but I would expect the road to end at Page next week.
