McMinn Co @ Powell - Round 2

I'll try to provide some updates tonight.

Powell drives the length of the field on their opening drive. TD pass from Potts to Foust. And of course we have an unsportsmanlike penalty after the TD.

Powell leads 7-0 with just under 8 min left in the 1st qtr.

Pretty obvious what McMinn wants to do - Roll the QB away from Nolan.

Cherokees net 4 yards and punt from near midfield. Magdos returns the punt deep into McMinn territory, but they lose a lot of the return on a blindside block.

Powell has run the ball at will on these first two drives, but they turn it over on downs at the McMinn 35. Greene has three drops already, including a long one on that drive that would have been a walk-in TD.

He still made a nice play chasing the Qb down from the backside

Penalties killing the Cherokees on their first 2 offensive drives. Three and out gives the ball back to Powell at their own 12 with 2 min left in the 1st qtr.

Wow, what a fumble recovery there by Redmond on the long pass from Potts. Powell in business again at the McMinn 11.

And Foust drops a TD pass on the following play.

Great read option by Potts on the next play, and Powell leads 14-0 early in the 2nd qtr.
