HTV
Be surprised if a current member of the staff isn't promoted as quickly as possible. Edited December 13, 2021 by HTV

edwardblake
Agreed @HTV this shouldn’t be a long process at all there is a coach there waiting in the wings.
bigbird45
Kevin Lane is alumni but I don't think he will take it could be wrong. I could see Brent Hughes being promoted Halls alumni as well.
LEFTYKNOX
The biggest question here in my opinion is do they follow the Bearden model and hire someone that is not a certified teacher. I hope it is Coach Hughes, great teacher, alum and community member. I just wonder if this will be given to any random guy that wants to coach like Bearden did. Just don't see Halls going in any other direction than the one you mentioned. Add to what you said, he's already in the building, and the current staff would likely stay somewhat intact.

Don’t even have to weigh kids before the games!

I am wondering the same thing but if Kevin Lane wants the job I think they will do it then, but I highly doubt he will take it if offered. At this point, Kevin certainly has an argument. I understand he has been a finalist for jobs and was always told he couldn't be the HFC because of his lack of teaching credentials. Obviously, the Bearden debacle has changed all of that you would think in KCS and maybe he will get his shot now that they have opened the flood gates to hire whomever regardless of background.
