Word is the Jackets only had 20 players before the coach left and it seems the quarterback left also. No word on coaching hire when all other teams are into summer workouts. It would have been tough if they hired someone a month ago and gets exponentially harder every day they don't have a coach. Is there a legitimate chance they don't even play football in Greenfield this year?

If Gleason could find a way to field a team through all the tough years they had there should be no excuses in Greenfield. Gleason has a guy that lives for bulldog football though.

Lake co won a state title and several playoff appearances with just over 20  players.Heard talk years ago about thinking about giving football up but stuck it out.In many small towns,it's tough but at same time,talk of the town on Sat mornings,something to do and possibly keeps some kids out of trouble.

Back when y'all had Stavonski I remembered thinking y'all had just enough for 11 on 11 practice

We only had 19 players his senior season.  Made it to the quarter finals that year and lost to UC.  Our QB quit the week of that game and Wilkes took the snaps.

In 1999 LC traveled to USJ for the first round with only 12 players.
