14-13 final score. Hard fought on both sides. Best of luck to Portland on the rest of the year. #3 is a stud, selfishly I hate that he is only a Junior.

If you don’t mind please say a prayer for one of our kids Dylan Beasley, carried off by ambulance with a neck injury.

You was close son! How does a little tiny 2a team play with a state powerhouse like Portland and even sneak out with a win? LOL onto the 4a powerhouse on the other side of hwy 52 from us! The Mighty Tigers of Macon co where 3/4 of their offensive output and 50% of their defensive output was trained in Westmoreland TN by yours truly!

And that's the problem the training thing it takes about 4 years to get the dumbness out it was so bad!

But if the eagles put it on us to bad friday night we can always tune in and hear "Here we go" 500 times in 4 quaters.

No way they can beat buzzaed city 3 years in a roll.

What’s a big 4a doing playing the buzzards for anyway? To get an easy win or to sell tickets?

You are right though, rarely has big bad Macon co ever beat the buzzards 1 year in a row much less 3! LOL it’s sad y’all have all you do up there and still struggle to beat the buzzards. Y’all got a super Walmart and we let a Ben Franklin go out of business a few years ago! LOL what does that say about Lafayette football knowledge?

I agree with that Post.  He and  his  play by play sidekick are pretty knowledgeable.  " Here we go".  We will see what happens Friday night.

I’m not trying to be snarky, but how does everyone think Westmoreland goes from 3-8 last year to world beaters this year?

Westmoreland played 9 games last year against playoff teams. All of their losses but 1 were one score games in the 4th q. So they were close last year, way bettet than their 3-8 record.  They  are a year older with 17 seniors.  Their D is stout and at least vs. Port they played mistake free.  Winning recipe against a better Portland team.  Expect a lot of close games this year.
