I will say, this group we have won’t quit! When the season is over and the back stories are told about this group the desire not to quit is unbelievable

Agreed. The core group of seniors is one where their will exceeds their skill in some cases.  But the Eagles dont have "quit" in their vocabulary.  Most of the games are gonna be close and low scoring.  Lots of ball left.

If they could manage to muster up 20-28 points game, I feel like they could make a good run.  But until then, they’ll be just a great defense.

My son was #64. He is a senior. My last one until my grandsons and I’m afraid one of them will be wearing Macon co

Whinemoreland  has a good team. Took some big licks tonight and kept getting back up, a little slower, but got back up. SC won, but that was a BAD officiating  crew. Westy coaches punting about halfway through the 4qtr,near midfield was,to me,  a white flag.

The bad officiating your referring to. Explain. We thought we got held almost every play and not called

Our boys played hard against a huge SC team but the officials were terrible! They had no clue how to call a game. I think one of them was training so God help him if those were his trainers.

Didn't have any idea what to do after calling a penalty. Had no idea what intentional grounding is. Ineligible down field penalty, can't advance fair catch, horse collar tackles...on and on.

    • Tough situation.  Not sure the ROI is there right now.   Might be better options that are cheaper.
    • Yeah summer ball is really fun, but a lot of coaches are trying to play several kids to get much needed reps that they are not accustomed to. I would imagine Gibson County will have lots of players playing to get much needed reps. Want to win games but got to get experience as well and the rotation will be much deeper. I will be at MTSU, UTM Bethel and others. MTSU is the one I really look forward to.
    • So who are the new additions to the staff? Serious answers only please.
    • Its always interested to see the state teams the following summer after losing or not losing seniors and getting freshman and transfers. It's almost time.
    • Maryville has Alcoa on the schedule at the right time of the season which helped last year instead of at the first of the year not knowing much. West will be hard pressed to repeat this year but next will be a different story.
