3 lbs of stew meat (about 1 inch chunks),

3 garlic cloves chopped

6tbsp chili powder

2tsp cinnamon

3tbsp all purpose flour

2tbsp oregano

1 tsp each of salt and pepper

2 large cans (or about 22-25 oz total ) of beef broth

Add 2tbsp of cooking oil to a 4 qt pan on low heat add meat and stir until the pink turns white on all the meat, but not brown. Add the chili powder, cinnamon , oregano and flour and continue to stir until meat is thoroughly coated .  I transfer mine into a crock pot and add broth salt and pepper. Cover with lid and  bring to a boil and then reduce heat and slow cook for about an hour and a half, after that you can add in can beans (ranch style works best for my liking)  cook for another 30 minutes on low. Top with cheese, sour cream and chopped onions if you like and fresh squeezed lime slice.... Make your tongue slap your brain to death. .....

Interesting - no tomatoes or tomato sauce?

Nope... Most mixes call for tomato sauce, for the acidity and to make the broth aspect for chili....By using beef broth with flour you don't need it ... it thickens up and has more of a beefy flavor .... tomato sauce for me gives it more of a spaghetti  (flavor. with chili powder) If I was making mexican spaghetti I would use 3 tbsp chili powder and add  1tbsp cumin  1tbsp oregano ...to tomato sauce and Jalapenos. simmer for about 30 minutes  Brown 1lb hamburger or 1/2 beef 1/2 pork  simmer while spaghetti boils .  Top it with chopped onion kidney beans sour cream and cheese

    • One of the biggest loosing teams in Mid-State are the Macon County Tigerettes. I have noticed that the roster is smaller than in the years past. All the senior's have quit. We have a great group of Jr High players coming up. I sure hope they don't loose them, like they have lost so many others this year. With this young group of girls coming up, a weaker district, they should have no problem going to State.
    • It was updated this season, because I did it.  Linder is the school's all-time leading rusher at 5,156 yards with 2,436 of those coming in 2014.
    • Oh, I’m sure you did. Maybe you heard just a rumor, but considering we have a football practice field and a soccer field that’s frequently used for lacrosse games and practices, I highly doubt it. Let me change that. I know for a fact that didn’t happen.   Glad you finally stopped attacking a bunch of high school students, but still obsessed with the coaching staff for some unknown reason, even though you could name more than three (at most) coaches without looking it up. But now come up with something else.
    • You really mean the Price twin boys and Lyin Larry.
    • Now that wouldn’t surprise me a bit. That has been going on heavily since the days of Larry Kerr @ AC. One of the major reasons CC has never really had much at all, barring about 2 seasons in football. AC milks it dry.
