Round 2: Giles Co. host Loudon.

How do you see this rematch from last seasons round 3 going?  Giles took it last year but it wasn't easy.

Well Loudon lost to Braindred by I think 13. GC just hammered them so I think GC handles it easy. Anything can happen so that's why you play the games.

Loudon was a fantastic team and tremendous host to GCHS last year. Hoping we can reciprocate the hospitality this go-around.

Computers from last week say Giles is about an 11-point favorite. We'll see when they put the new spread out tomorrow or Tuesday.

Looking forward to the trip to the Brickyard! The Redskins are very young and hard-nosed bunch! Young Qb is very talented and Rb's run hard. Hope we can keep it competitive and have a shot in the 4th! Good luck to both teams! GO REDSKINS!

Looks like Giles is about a 17-point favorite now. Loudon is no slouch so the Bobcats will need to play tough to have a chance.

Top 3 Local Eateries for visiting fans:

Hickory House -- right beside the stadium. many park there and walk over to the stadium. there is even a special entrance gate to buy tickets near the restaurant. a Pulaski staple. Terrific meat-and-three spot, but also has full menu.

Kitchen 218 -- hip new restaurant in town. Burgers, pizza and adult beverages. Plenty of TVs and bar space/seating. just off of the Pulaski square. about a mile from the stadium.

Southern Table -- directly across the street from Kitchen 218. southern upscale dining. really nice menu.

Safe travels heading over to The Brickyard on Friday night.

Once again cousin Neely you are spot on, but I have to give a plug to Nick's Grill and Sarge's Shack just before you pass under Interstate 65 on Hwy 64 Bypass. Nicks is a sandwich shop with handcrafted burgers and more(I get the Rueben) and Sarge's is more of a steakhouse. IMO none of the 5 will disappoint.  

Now what about some footbaw?  I haven't seen a game all year, I get the "top of the pressbox" recap.  GC sounds strong as usual with many weapons and the Kicker being a really good one. I know from past experience that OC hasn't shown the full deck yet. Not sure if this is a game where all the cards get played or not. A wise man once said, You have to run what you brung and hope you brung enough.  Everyone be safe and GO CATS!!!

Solid performance from the Bobcat defense on Friday night. 21-0. Bobcats have allowed just eight points in last three games.

Rather ho-hum victory in the end, but Loudon gave them a scare in the second before a big defensive stop on 4th down.

If GCHS can recapture its offensive momentum, they'll be in good shape this Friday versus Sweetwater.

Good luck to the Bobcats. You guys played great defense. Sorry our offense missed the bus! LOL You guys have a beautiful stadium, enjoyed eating at Kitchen 218. On to next year REDSKINS!
