Have you ever been part of a visiting team visiting that facility to play? They treat anyone and everyone not from LA like a peasant. Piss on the entire LA group! I wish them nothing but the worst in everything they do.

im sorry you had such a bad experience.  can you be more specific?  I know we have a visitors parking area beside the visitor seating and im not aware of any other school that does that.  in the past, we have fed some schools before they make a long drive.  if you send me some details (private message is fine), I am glad to talk to someone about it to see that we improve where we can.  once again, i'm very sorry to hear you were not treated well.

I’ll definitely message you as soon as I get a second. We no longer have to worry about playing there since they moved up but I would love to share my experiences.

sounds good.  thanks!

The list for the TD football era would be long for anyone outside of LA. He seemed to have a goal of alienating everyone outside of his “tribe”. It will probably take a while to wash that taste out of everyone’s mouth. Prior to that you really don’t notice a lot of things when you are mercy ruling a team. TD was definitely very successful in building a program that won, but I don’t see how a school, specifically a faith based school could be happy with the bad reputation that grew under him each year. BUT, winning really amplifies every thing you do to people outside your program. I would hate to be under that type of spotlight with all of my flaws.

I’m a baseball guy and the rivalry is very strong between CPA & LA. Lots of emotion during the games but nothing really to complain about. I really look forward to those games and have enjoyed talking to program ambassadors like Brent High. No problem with the coaches, etc.

I’m also a Vandy fan (please be gentle) and love seeing Junior Sherrill and London lined up next to each other on offense and Longwell playing D with Kane and Langston every week.

Please be kind when visiting the Catholic school on the north side of town :)

I agree a bit with that the new Lipscomb culture is a lot different now.  Lipscomb bought in 100% but it is a negative in my view and fans have on rose colored glasses. The parking on the visitors side is great but we've had to walk around to the home stands to get inside, which is a trek for us older fans.

Booger, I’ve got a daughter living in your city now.  I’ll have to meet you for dinner on one of my visits. She had to evacuate yesterday evening because of a chemical spill. So, pretty eventful so far!

    • Groves got the ball over 20+ times. His son arguably played the best for East in that game. 3rd and long multiple times and he came up big to continue a couple drives. Please shut up for the 3rd year in a row
    • And can you tell me who those two quarterbacks were, and every kid that was put into college from Bearden is a Bearden kid? It’s kind of why they graduated from Bearden.   and I would definitely not consider ETSU “waste”…
    • Most of this is complete gibberish. But the one part I could decipher is putting kids in college. This coaching staff hasn’t put a single Bearden kid in college. They completed wasted one of the best WRs in East TN and have ruined two talented QBs. All because they’re in over their heads.
    • Well, I’d hope the new coaching staff thinks they are all that because they can always walk around the school, anytime they want, thinking that, especially for what they’ve done for the student athletes and the players, putting more kids in college in his first season than the old coaching staff did in numerous years combined, but we will just sweep over that because I know you don’t like facts. But trust me, nobody wanted Mr. Big britches, made the star player switch to quarterback, which is ultimately the reason he ended up transferring to play the position. He loved, but unfortunately, had to be at another school because Mr. Big Britches doesn’t like when a teenager knows more than him, but can’t expect much coming from a guy who used all class throwing pencils up into the ceiling and making fun of football kids who were failing class right to their face, and in front of numerous students, even projecting on the board most of the time.
    • After that first paragraph, I can see why you’re a TA and not a teacher. Have you made the move from South Knoxville to Bearden yet?    Maybe he left because he is an actual teacher and coach, and didn’t want to be associated with a group of foul mouthed middle school coaches who like to pretend they’re big time.
