Tonight MC won over CASCADE 50 to 40. The game was a good one although I have seen better. Cascade only had 6 players others are out do to some type of injury including Laura Cowley which is has a broken arm do to the tornado in Bell Buckle a few weeks back. But the Cascade girls played with all they had and they should be proud because they played a hard game and did make a good show! Moore County played well but they really need to spend some time on their shooting. If they had made all their shots the score would have been much greater, but, I am sure they will improve. Congrats to both teams. :D:D:D

The Shelbyville paper said she fractured it during the Shelbyville Play Day. The tornado thing happened later. It also reported that she should be ready to go in either 2 more games or 2 more weeks. I can't remember.

sidenote for the mc fan: I don't believe that HighTest was crying over the loss, I believe he was just saying the the Lady Champions, like the Viqueens, should be proud of their game with MC. While MC is a very good team, the best can always lose at sometime and should never underestimate the underdogs. Just one day, and they may get bitten. There are a lot of good teams in district 11, so don't go wearing that district championship crown just yet. IF they do get it we will be supporting them the whole way (after) because they are from OUR district. ;) not the original sidetrain

Here is the truth about Cowley. While playing against Friendship Christian @ Shelbyville, she fractured it. That next day, her and her family were at home when a tornado hit her house. They took shelter in a closet under their staircase. They were extremely lucky to be alive. She will be back in 2 weeks ready to go. She still is practicing so expect her to still be in shape. If you happen to see her tell her how sorry you are about her house b/c she could use all the encouraging she could get now. Thank you.

Well, I am glad to find out that Cowley fractured her arm in a practice or game instead of the tornado. B/c the other was a scary thought. I too, think that Hightest ment no harm to any of the teams that won or lost. I think he ment well by his post and was proboly honest in his

feelings for saying that.

Hightest if you read this I am glad that you are not afraid to say what you said in your post. Do you have kids that play or are you just a watcher? ;)

    • So much talk about an investigation about student record manipulation and then everything has went silent. Has anyone heard how the investigation is going?
    • Basically what you're saying is schools can basically bully students around and get away with it because they are protected. I agree to a certain extent but when schools decisions to keep knuckleheads on staff starts costing kids careers and a college education there is a problem. Our school system last week had a teacher supposedly push a kid and the parents went to the law and the teacher is suspended. So I wouldn't say that they can just do what they want without liability. This case don't pass the smell test because the coach had already been fired before and she got fired after a year on the job. Sounds like the student was right in this case on the outside looking in because the coach gets fired after one year. How many coaches get fired after one year?? Not many.
    • Problem with DB football goes beyond coaching. Like Waco said. Thr band is the main focus of their community and school. They have the resources to be a championship level team. Guarantee Ballard or Witten could have them nationally relevant at some point but everyone down to peewee would have to buy in and at DB we all know that would never happen.
    • I know the RB from OR he’s fast and has good hands. Is good on special teams also. Didn’t want to play defense over to the Ridge.
