While Delaware isn't a slouch, it's hard to put that in the same realm.

Agree for sure, but this kid won the job over a senior midway through last season and took them to the state finals, so he is a little bit under the radar. Starting QB at CPA is never a slouch. The other 3 QB's in these games are definitely a class above him (at this point). Still 4 great teams and a rare opportunity to see this level football (and coaching) in one weekend.

y'all's QB's are often athletes more than pure QB.  it's not an offense that profile's a QB in a way that gets a lot of attention so delaware may be getting a hidden gem.  heck cade law is going to play LB in college and he is totally built like it.

Which is part of the reason why it's a headache to play CPA. A defender just as like to get trucked by a QB as they are a TB

1000%.  cade law took over in the 2020 state championship game single handedly.  it was nuts trying to tackle him.  I see him around from time to time.  nice guy but he aint built like no QB.  : )

    • If it was anyone but #8 I would agree with you. Theirs a couple people on that team that probably would. Not him. And I who was standing on the 1st base line fence saw clearly that the boys foot was covering more than half the bag.
    • If y’all lose to Farragut something awful has happened.
    • Get him to Bearden ASAP! Or anywhere, Karns hs is in rough shape, probably not getting out of it anytime soon.
    • I'm not a Powell grad.  I am a Bearden grad.   My son and daughter are Powell grads.   I did radio play by play for Powell, my last year was 2013. I also did radio play by play for South Doyle, and my last gig was at Maryville before I retired.   My oldest grandson plays in the Karns Middle program, so I see more Karns games than I do Powell these days.  I've been to 3 Powell games since 2013.   I don't have any ties to Powell, haven't since 2013.   No "y'all" there.    And the kid you are talking about does have a very good arm, but he's not the QB that Deuce Rogers is.  Rogers is a legit dual threat guy.  The younger kid now at Clinton, or about to be at Clinton, isn't the dual threat that Rogers is.
