How’s everyone feeling after the halfway point? Good start on the season for Red Boiling Springs and Whitwell. The Pirates are still the Pirates. Slow starts for the defending 1A runner ups in Celina, but they have started coming on strong the last couple of weeks. Gordy still trying to find their way, but still expect them to have a huge say in how the road to the semifinals shapes up. It’s been a while since things were this wide open between these regions in my opinion.

No one will give SP any resistance in the east

Gordonsville/Clay/Whitwell are all probably evenly matched and going to battle to get to the quarterfinals and that will be the end of the road for any of the 3

Everybody else will see very early exits 

Side note.. coalfield will walk to the semis and get boatraced by SP

Gordonsville at full health is probably slightly better than Clay/Whitwell but still would have to play well to beat both. But with the injuries we have now, the path to the quarters is wide open for the 3 previously mentioned

Probably pretty spot on

Whitwell could give Gville trouble if they have a good front 7 but by looking at scores against the 1 common opponent they look very even

That bottom 4 might be switched around a little but other than that I’d say you nailed it

Haven’t seen RBS yet but cant imagine there are 3/8 playoff eligible teams will be worse than them

      Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!

      I would not put too much stock into the UH over Eagleville. From what I understand they were pretty banged up in that tourney. Catcher was out, they were throwing pretty deep in their bullpen and a few key players were beat up in their infield. Sounds like they are pretty healthy heading into the district tournament. Look at their schedule, they played some really good teams.
