 You know, somebody forgot to tell Westview that Region 7 runs through Highway 51.  Ripley, Dyersburg, and Covington, all three very physical teams.

A lot to process from this one but I’ll start here: Westview takes their first shutout loss since September 18, 2020, a 48-0 loss at home to Covington.

Ironically, the Trojan D handed the Chargers of Covington their first shutout loss in Region play since a 21-0 loss at Haywood on October 9, 2009.

Dyersburg is now in the driver’s seat for Region 7-3A. Convincing wins over Covington and Westview mean they only have to handle Ripley to knock out all three contenders.

Westview had 177 yards for the game with only 77 yards in the second half.

Trojan offense had 328 yards for the game with 196 yards coming in the second half. All 196 yards were rushes as Dburg never had a pass attempt in quarters 3 and 4. Absolute domination in the trenches.
