Well I mean you have to play those that are on the schedule. No matter if they are good or bad, by your opinion, you still have to play them. Go Dawgs!

True there! I can remember all the times Marco put up those type numbers against those Cornpups

Cornersville was in control of this game going into 4th 31-15. #88 made a great defensive play shedding the block of #66 and forcefully reached in and stripped the ball from our sophomore running back on a great defensive play causing a turnover with a score of 38-29 with 6:53 left in the 4th breathing new life into Cannon County. They took over at their own 39 and punched it in 2 plays, a big run around the outside of our freshman corner and the they hit a pass in the middle where neither LB fell into coverage bringing it to 38-36. Cornersville put the rest of the game in Bens hands. He carried the ball 7 straight time on the next possession for a scoring drive bringing it to 45-36. Cannon County started their next drive at their own 14 and marched down the field ending in a touchdown to their playmaker #88 making it a final score of 45-42. Dawgs were able to recover the onside kick and take the knee for the victory.

key take away from this game was Cannon County was able to put our linebackers in limbo by running the ball well and exploiting the middle of the field with passes when they came up to stop the run not falling into coverage. We are going to have to fix this moving forward. Holding penalties against us were also a big factor. This ended way closer than it should have. Ben Franklin is simply a stud.

    • I remember very well watching things change in the late 80's and yes it's all schools. Most people that are in charge today have any idea because they were raised and taught under this social experiment so they don't have a clue. Anyone that does see the truth for what it is usually try and hide it by blending in so that the School Gestapo doesn't round them up and take them to the Fuhrer ( kindly putting it ). Yes it is all schools not just Maryville. This train ride is not headed in a good direction and if the public had seen a movie of what's happening now back in 1980 everyone would have been headed home afterwards to change underware.
    • Hoping to make the playoffs.
    • You are so correct!  It’s really 99.9% of academia want to change to way that education is not only taught but the way it is viewed.  The pendulum has definitely swung as far to the left as possible and eventually will swing to the right much too far.  I have always  said that politics and one’s personal religious views need to stay out of education,  but for the last 40 years education has been running full throttle to what we have today.  If the social experiment that we are currently experiencing continues it is only a matter of time before the public school system in the USA completely collapses and all kids attend private schools or even worse don’t go to school.
    • He was a bruise but Aaron Dykes is HVA’s best RB ever.
    • I am talking about what they both did for their team. They both carried their team for four years while they were both there. I wasn’t really comparing them that would be unfair. Bishop is on a level of his own.
