We've been told again and again that everyone recruits and it's just part of the game.  But it looks like Lipscomb Academy has been give a 2 year post season ban for a recruiting violation.  If they're willing to do treat LA like that, I'm certain theres some 5a and 6a schools that are fillin theyre britches right now.

Some are just smarter and better at hiding.

Well DLA is in the back yard of the TSSAA. Plenty of eyes on DLA in Davidson County and surrounding counties. Plus D2 AAA schools have the resources and motivation to go after their opponents. Knoxville is a world away from TSSAA and they have to have some real interesting truthful information from a motivated reliable source to listen to anything in the Knoxville area.

TSSAA isn't doing their own investigating.  You know that right?  Anything they do is based on info turned in by member schools.

The TSSAA opened an investigation in September, according to a letter sent to Lipscomb Academy families from school administration. Families were informed that the TSSAA found that two ineligible players had played, including the Briarcrest Christian game, which the Mustangs won. By rule, Lipscomb Academy was told it must forfeit that win.

The letter also stated that Lipscomb had been charged with a recruiting violation because of a text message conversation between a former Lipscomb parent and a football assistant coach.

    • While one may be inclined to perceive this narrative through a lens of fiction, it behooves us to recognize the inherent robustness of its credibility. For those seeking veracity, the surest path lies in direct engagement with the primary source. Let us adhere diligently to the matter at hand, focusing our deliberations on the matter of paramount importance: the identification of the individual most suited to assume the mantle of head coach. I invite introspection and discourse regarding not only personal preferences but also the criteria defining merit and suitability for this esteemed position.
    • If it’s one single kid then that argument would make sense. He’s essentially had to replace his entire coaching staff in the first two seasons, and like it’s been pointed out only one left for a better job. The two most talented players in the area both left, and number of others are actively trying to leave, including the head basketball coaches son. Also, the rumors of financial problems and over spending by Jones. Unpaid bills, missing money, inability to fundraise, has the boosters sick of being hit up for money.    Im saying that is the definition of a poorly run disorganized program. If you want to pretend it’s a well oiled machine maybe you should take your maroon glasses off. All I know is I wouldn’t let my boys play in that kind of mess.
    • It usually gets tiresome when posters play characters on the board, but I must admit that I’ve found some humor in wingback’s take on this art form.  However, his rundown on the potential candidates seems as much fiction as his persona!
