What are your thoughts on who the Head of Notre Dame and its first time AD hire to replace Coach Fant. Will the two powers that be, three if the Dioceses has to play in, make a splash hire? Or will they throw a patch on the hole that was left after the Fant resignation? Its been a top secret evolution so far.

Going to be very interesting to see the direction that ND goes in relation to how the future of it Fighting Irish Football program will look.....

The Irish in a tough league...with the improvement at Boyd and CCS....seems like there are some challenges especially in getting the athletes to be competitive.

It will be interesting to see if they go with older coach or an up & coming young guy.

irish been in a tough league for a quite some time.....even before them North Brainerd Levee CoC'ers  and The St Elmo Sword of Joshua Full Gospel Independent Pentecostal Assembly just of Broad St on Charger Dr started collectin a few extra W's....some challenges for sure Charger64...and those challenges are even greater challenges when your not one of the Alphas in the league..

....all about the J & J's Charger64...all bout them J & J's....that Fant feller had bout bout 40 ballers collect scholarships on over Vermont Ave....bout 30 or so those in a 7 yr window....guessin bout 20-25 of them D1's...2 to the NFL with 2 of them players havin Superbowl contest rings (one a championship ring).....and high likely a 3rd headed to NFL .....maybe not so much D1's in last 4-5 yrs, but still some incredible young men

....Not so sure what difference in old or young makes at this point

...Charger64 gotta b excited to get another season goin down there in St Elmo

The Chargers here in Englewood had a few epic battles with the fighting Irish back in the day....thinks there was a stretch with ND lost to Alcoa, Signal Mountain and McMinn Central ......always liked playing the Irish.....

no stretch that Memory Booger can recall that all 3 above got the Irish in same season.....thinkin maybe Englewood & North Red Bank Mountain both got it the Irish either year before Fant was HC or Fants first season as HC in 12'.....the Irish werent good nuff to start challengin them Tinheads from Alcoa for Gold Balls until both the semis in 14' and 15'

.....Booger nose that Englewood beat what Booger thinkin was one of Fants best teams in 16'....very talented....but that was an extremely rare fractured Fant team....the Chargers had that big Long kid totin the rock that year....hard to imagin with all the kids Englewood kids that went on to play a lilittle saturday FB, that Long kid didn't...

....no doubt ND had the players to challenge Alcoa for a 3rd semi in a row that year

....and yes always good contest against Englewood back then
