Boyd Buchanan and The King's Academy slugging it out for a mid-October battle for playoff positioning. No different than Alcoa vs Scott County or Warren County vs Murfreesboro 6A teams. 50 percent enrollment/50 percent strength would be ideal if a method could be determined for implementing it. gcapride
5 hours ago, stephenhargisunderstudy said: That's what I was about to post. This is the best option if you are talking about those Blue Blood programs getting to play in AA if there are 3 classes. Just move it back to A and AA. If we have 3 classes and you think Ensworth or BA should move into AA to win a gold ball, you are part of the problem. I don't know what the solution is, but I have no problem with BA and Ensworth playing where their enrollment figures land. Under a A and AA system, they both would play in AA. If the split is at 400, you would have 31 in A and 18 in AA, going off the 2023-2025 enrollment #'s. With Boog's ND team walking a thin line with enrollment of 392. Create the most even #s possible in both divisions. 24 in one class, 25 in the other. Goodpasture is the biggest in A and FRA is the smallest in AA. Thanks for providing the graphic, I think the most eye-opening stat of all is how Christian Brothers could do so little with so many boys. Good Lord. FBCoach1983
The four big schools enrollment are not that large, T$$AA multiples their enrollment by 2 for classification purposes because they are all boy schools. Yes I would agree CBHS has been a let down the last few years. Why doesn’t the T$$AA just drop the AAA class down to 350 and now 16 teams are up? Does it really matter, it will be the Baylor/McCallie show until the T$$AA decides to do something about boarding schools.

Looking at that list, that is about the exact # of kids Baylor has in High School. If you add middle school #s in, it's more like 1080. What do you think TSSAA would decide for the two large boarding institutions? Does anyone ever see that happening?

Remove them from playing in the state association is one option. The other is make all their transfers sit out one calendar year before they are eligible. I believe T$$AA is the only or 1 of 2 state associations that allows boarding schools to participate in their association state playoffs. Neither has won a state championship in quite some time. Why should they stay up and let schools with smaller enrollments win every year? Just saying. People always want to look at it from one side. THEIR side. Spot on Bingolong….wouldn’t care at all to see them playin where the numbers say they should….but some of these new rule makers and supporters and their cheesy formulas have lost sight of that enrollment numbers are just what they are Booger just sayin

But, if you want to extend them an invite, I'd be happy to see that. In the 2021-22 season where Oakland went 15-0, they played LA and CPA and they squeaked by with a win in both contests. Impressive considering those two played for the AA ball that year. Let them play the AAA East region gauntlet of a schedule just sayin Last thing Booger needs is some hargiswantabe instructin Booger on Boogers wherebouts… ….Booger nose the organizational structure of this T threadin stuff backwards and innerds…and have so since way before some boot poster hijacked the coattails of that world famous columbo like sports writer from the TFP ….was usin Oakland as a point of Interest in the topic at hand …and Booger actually thinks the T$$AA should make creasy team Play uP I.
