Anyone know what is going on with the coaching situation? Just heard the coach “resigned”. Who is next in line?

He was pushed out like Sanders at Smith County.

Must be the going thing. I could see this one coming though. Wonder who the replacement will be???

Yeah, this one was probably coming a while. I would think someone in the building would have a pretty good chance at it, but we shall see. If they go outside, I would think the RBS boys coach might be on the last call list.

I don’t know who in the building would want it and I can’t see the boys coach at RBS leaving, but I have been wrong before. I will say, I did hear that a former RBS coach has shown some interest in the job. Not sure that would be the right path to go down.

If you want a job coaching basketball in Smith County, you need one of two things. 
 

1. Strong ties to Pickett County or Director of Schools. (Preferably both)

2. Tennessee Rush coaching tree

It probably means they haven’t found their guy/gal yet. 
 

In Smickett County, coaching positions, BOE positions or principal positions usually aren’t posted until they have been filled.
