When College Heights played Pickett Co., Pickett Co. was ahead of them 51-11 at the half. Then College Heights didn't show up the next day for Celina! And, College Heights laughed at the young Pickett players before the game started, but not when they were getting blown out.

to play PCty. They only dressed 7 guys only 2 of which were varsity players. They only had 4 kids the next day to play celina which was not even worth the trouble for either team.

 

College Heights beat Hermitage Springs by 42.

CH beat Friendship by 14.

 

not too bad for a lil ole school from gallatin bubs.

he scheduled the games not knowing that the administrator would later make them "un-mandatory" due to thanksgiving holidays. Afterwards it was too late for PC to find a team so CH brought who they had in town at the time (2 players) along with JV kids to fill out a team. The HC did not think that the school would do that at the time they were scheduled.

 

Unfortunate but I suppose those things happen from time to time.

      RR, you might remember. Didn’t someone hide the kicking shoe that game? It seems I remember we had missed a kick the week before, and we needed all the points we could get. We thought we had a better chance going for two, so $?&@$ hid the shoe after the first miss that game. No one on our sideline looked for it very hard.

      I will never forget the 1983 Heritage vs Maryville game. I remember driving home and listening to WGAP. Can't remember the announcers name. He asked Coach Story why he kept going for 2? Story told him " Why didn't you ask Renfro that last year"

      Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
