When all is said and done, who cares who is stronger from top to bottom? Only 2 out of region go to sub-state. You seem to have a problem with Lawrence Co. (they've beaten Riverdale and Oakland in a fall game) and Coffee Co. (they beat Riverdale) on getting the number 2 spot for the sub-state. Head to head both have beaten 7-aaa teams. That seems to leave Cookeville and White County as the teams you believe will get the number 2 spot. We will see. There is no question that Shelbyville will be one of the teams and based on records and who is beating who, I think Lawrence County will be number 2. I do believe that 7-aaa is evenly matched between 4 teams and whoever is playing the best at that time of the year will win the district tournament. All 4 teams are very good, but LCHS can beat any one of the 4 and have done so to 2 of them this year. Coffee Co. has also let it be known that the top 3 in district 8-aaa are more than ready to square off with any in district 7-aaa, and take no backseat to any of them. Only time and the regional tournament will tell. We're looking forward to it.

Shelbyville is 20 pts. better than anyone else in the region. Can they be beaten? yes. But they are by far the best team! I think Lawrence Co. and Cookeville are in a close race for 2nd. I think Coffee Co, and Riverdale are battling for the next spot with the ability to beat both LC and Cookeville. White Co. is right after those 2. I think from there it is all 7 AAA. Oakland, Lebanon, Blackman, and Warren Co. before you get back to 8 AAA and Franklin Co, Columbia, Tullahoma, and Lincoln Co.

    • I believe that was last year. I was interested in the Jones vs Baker comment, so I went back and looked at GC. I am not a fan of either nor am I a baseball guru. This looks like to me the duel was not close and if the errors would not have been made Eagleville would have won. I assume you are a little biased. I do think your mph for Jeffcoat and Baker must be from last year.  Baker-85 pitches 67 strikes. 5.2 innings, 5H, 1BB, 0ER and 7K's. 3 errors  Jones- 78 pitches 37 strikes. 4 innings, 2H, 5BB, 0ER and 1K. 1 error   Adams and the UH kid are really good as well. What about South Pitt and Oakdale? I heard they have some good ones.
    • I hate this for all the kids in the program and fans alike. I can't recall of anything like this before in my lifetime but I'm sure it isn't a first. After criminal investigations are complete and the TSSAA looks into this the program it will be facing Nuclear Winter for some time to come. It's always the innocent left behind that end up paying the price for something someone else has done. I'm sure the transfer portal will be very active in Clinton over the summer months. How could you find a good coach worth his salt that would take on a situation like this not knowing what will happen.
    • I’ve seen Jeffcoat in person twice and he was 84-87 both times and the one time I saw Baker he was low 80’s, he actually got out dueled by Jones from ER in that outing.
    • Pirate fans, thread is up on the baseball message board.
