rhea co leads 52-17 @half @soddy

rhea co jumped on soddy daisy and lead by 60-21 at one point--zach hyatte's 36 and josh smith's 25 lead rchs to a victory of 85-69--lance sexton score 18 pts in the 4th to narrow the margin including 2 30footers in last 30 seconds, sexton finished with 23. rhea improved to 21-2

That was one crazy game. The student sections were rowdy. Coach Wood from Soddy got a T and she didnt even say anything and later got thrown out. I couldnt believe Rhea let Soddy score so much in the 2nd half. Rhea has such a good team and lots of kids come out to watch them but they dont yell or anything. Why is that?

everyone is gonna remember how dominant rhea co was in the fisrt half. that was about the best half of high school basketball ive ever seen played. rc has a GREAT team. they could not miss in the first half. but the greatest thing about the game was the heart shown by sd in the second. the trojans could have layed down for the eagles and rc might have broken the score board (they were on pace to break the century mark). but sd dominaated the second half as bad as rhea dominated the first. the torjans gave the eagles all they could handle in the second half. oh yeah, lance sexton was held to 3 points in the first three quarters, but busted out for 20 in the 4th against rhea's starters, who are 15th in the state.

you have to give soddy credit for not giving up, but rhea county didn't come out nearly as agressive the second half. the game was never in doubt. but my hat is off to the trojans who played much better after their coach was ejected.
