Okay folks....let's hear who all have actually put their name in the pot for this job. Speculation says that Mr. Nolan will name the coach on Thursday, which is his last day as the interim superintendent.

Olineathlete....do you know any scoop on this one?

Has Britton been an offensive or Defensive coordinator? If not, I do not see him being able to compete with Watson. However, I do not see anyone beating out that coach from Hillsboro.I cannot imagine why he would leave unless he has figured out that he will never beat Maryville. I am assuming that Marty is staying put at OHS!!!!HURRAH!!!!!

If Nolan is the former principal at oakland don't you think Marty Euverard would be the most logical candidate? He has a great relationship with him and who wouldn't like to start his own program. If he is not the one he probably turned it down. Also, is Nolan going to stay the Superintendent? I heard he was going to and a another principal would be hired. Does anyone know?

Kenny Nolan did not get the interim superintendent job. He only had a temporary job until the 15th of Jan. Joe Phillips is the interim til June 30th. Kenny will hire all the teachers,& coaches for Siegel High. If he decided to go for the permanent superintendent job and got it, he would not take over til the end of June. As I understand it, Marty Euverard was Nolan's top choice for the job. Rumor says that He did not want to split his staff nor walk away from a very talented and experienced up coming senior class. Yes, it would be great to actually start a program with a principal that you trusted and liked, but with all the stadium squabbles....not getting to play a non-varsity schedule like Blackman did....well it would be a lot of pressure to win straight off in Region 4!!!Not that I am saying that Marty is not up for the challenge....if anyone could do it, Marty and his assistants could. All I can say is....I am SO GLAD!!!!!!!!!

    • I think Alcoa and Westview are favorites in top bracket and Huntingdon and Meigs in bottom bracket.  Westview and Huntingdon both have great pitching.  I think Huntingdon has more offense than Westview.
    • Starting to pick up for Sam. He has 4 or 5 offers now and more on the way. By mid season the Warriors should have 5 or 6 kids with offers.
    • Gleason all over west Carroll in scrimmage. Gleason is big and fast
    • Defending 2A state Champs Westview Lady Chargers are pretty tough. They lost a bunch of production off last year's squad but returned some talent as well. They still McCall Simms, a Tennesseee Lady Vol softball commit as well as solid talent around the diamond. I dont think they are as good as last season but they will definitely be a tough out. Huntingdon Lady Mustangs seem to be pretty stout as well. Don't know much about Riverside other than Westview defeated them earlier in regions. West Tennessee softball is pretty solid all around id say.
    • Eagleville couldn’t catch up to Jones, he did have his location issues but in that game Eagleville popped up everything and the one hit they did have could have been ruled an error. Jeffcoat was a lot sharper in the beginning of the season last year than the end. ER ran out of pitching and still was in striking distance but none the less the better team one. Last seasons tournament was A LOT more balanced and talented. South Pitts starter is a Lefty who was low 80’s but couldn’t maintain his velo throughout the  outing, their #2 was more impressive last year, we knocked him around this year and his mph was down some. Their #3 isn’t bad neither, throws a lot of strikes and sits high 70’s.
