All i have to say is that I am a local high School Football Fan, and all of this crap about Lavantee BARBER is crazy, seriosly how many yards did he have verse Chatt. Central not mention the other's. all i here about in cleveland football is #44 and to be quite frank I dont think he was even the best back in the region!!!!!

Wait till the season starts. Barber was banged up almost all year and had a very young oline in front of him. The line got better and better as the year went on and 4 of them will be back next year. I'm not sure how many yards he had against Chatt. Central..but Cleveland won that game 51-0. Also it was Barber's first game back from a broken bone in his foot. #44 will lead Cleveland to great things this year.

typfan, barber had 900+ yards last year and played in 9 games, he had around 1200 his sophomore year, regardless of the numbers, cleveland wins when hes in. last year without him in 4 games they went 2-2 with the average score cleveland 17 opposition 16, but with him they were 7-2 with the average score being 40+ to 14. he does a lot of little things, in addition to racking up over 2100 yards in 20 games as a starter, plus over 20 td's, hes also thrown reverses for td's not to mention a couple ints on defense. he s just an athelete. barber also plays bball for one of the top 3 squads in the state, and started baseball for a team that went 28-10 last year. he should finally get his break this year with a full healthy year ahead of him as well as a great offensive line in front of him.

by the way, mikebleedsblue, the gibsons are about the same build and size as tim cooper, about 5'9" probably 165. they are big time play makers though, and they will more than likely just deepin the backfield even more. i would say ss or db. they will have the most talented and deep offensive and defensive backfields in the history of the program next season, i think that says a lot. it will say even more, if the o-line holds up to there potential.

    • How will McKenzie be under new coach this season?  Who are a few weapons they will have on offense and defense?
    • It's time to play everybody's favorite game of how is this season going to go. I'll undertake the fool's errand of a prediction. Encourage the region 2 fans to do the same. Cloudland: Top until they get beat always seem to perform year in year out with a small changing roster. Cosby, North Greene: These two could finish in either order they didn't have big senior classes. Lots of young guys got experience last season and most of their best athletes are upperclassmen it'll depend on coaching and if the kids can put it all together.  Jellico, Unaka: Like the two above could finish in either spot both of them lost key pieces to graduation. It'll depend on how returners play and if young guys can fill shoes.  Hancock: Small roster size devastated by a big senior class that took a lot of the experience and athleticism with them.
    • Confident that Marion, Moore, and Gordonsville are losses.  7-3 would be a nice turnaround.  5-5, 4-6, 3-7, etc. and it's a disappointment
