gomab's new boys team rankings

does anyone else think that it is absolutely a tragedy that ezell harding's boys are honorable mention on this list? do u have to be 0-11 to make the list? I just hope that the 11 teams that have beat them are ranked in the top 15. anyone else have any thoughts?

I was looking at the old ranking...That is funny because they are 0-11 an dont deserve to be in the honorable mention catagory...Considering my team is 8-8 an we arent even recognized...The shouldnt be recognized just because 3 of their good players return after x-mas...I disagree totally on this topic...

I totally agree...these rankings are terrible and nowhere even close to accurate...I'm sorry but somebody different needs to do these or just do not do them at all...

I imagine that Gomab was anticipating the return of A.J. Blackburn, Antoine Owens, and Austin Henderson when he put Ezell on the Honorable Mention list. These ballplayers will seriously impact their team, who could possibly contend for a title once they meld together. I'd watch out for Ezell-Harding. I'll let you know how good they are tomorrow night after they play BA.

Exactly.....the addition of three big time players such as Blackburn, Owens, and Henderson put Ezell as a dangerous, dangerous team by mid-February.....

 

They are NOT ranked, so don't worry..... they are only Honorable mention, which means they are a team "To Keep Your Eye On"....

 

If you don't like the rankings, put out your own Top 20 rankings in Each Classification without looking at mine: I would love to see them..... Then put out some player rankings as well.....

Just wonder why Volunteer is not even an honorable mention...17 and 6 right now...5-0 in the conference...Losses to Dobyns-Bennett twice, Tenn High once... Tabernace Baptist (Bahaman Nation champs)...Harmony Community (made sweet 16 in Ohio last year...currently 13-1)...and Hancock County. They deserve some respect....they are tied for the most wins in the state with 17 at this point...Just why are they not getting and votes for you and for the state AP poll?????

Gomab, Ezell was not impressive against Brentwood Academy, though the 3 new guys accounted for 29 of their 45 points. They obviously aren't clicking yet, but once they unify with the rest of the team, these guys could do some damage.

EastTnFan- You tell us who all Volunteer has lost two. They have lost twice to DB who is just honorable mention. They have 17 wins and you have told us who all they have lost to. Make a case for them by telling some people some good teams they have beaten. Its just that DB is honorable mention and Volunteer hasn't' gotten past them yet, so I can see why they are not gettign any love. Name some power teams they have beaten and it might help your case some.

I don't know if measuring a AA team against Dobyns Bennett is completely fair. I would also like to know some of their impressive wins, but DB would beat any AA team in East Tennessee on a consistent basis. I have seen Elizabethton, AE, Fulton, Howard, and Loudon, and I don't think any of those strong AA schools are better than Dobyns Bennett. I have not seen Volunteer, but I know DB is loaded......If anyone knows the date and score of Volunteer's other loss they should add it and help update their schedule. Volunteer is now 17-7 after losing to Elizabethton last night...

Volunteer has something to prove right now to move into the rankings..... I don't see them with one big win, but a loss to a bad Tennessee HS team, a loss to Class A Hancock, and a blowout loss to D-B....

 

And as for a AA team competing with AAA teams, this is the name of the game in West Tn and Memphis, which is what a school like Volunteer has to measure up against....
