You might want to check out Jim Smiddy's record at Bradley Central--1217 wins, 207 losses. It was the most wins by a coach in any league, high school, college or the pros, both men's and women's when he retired. Five state championships and 2 national # 1 rankings. Also included a 90-game winning streak.

As good as Coach Jill Pruden is at Oak Ridge and Rick Insell at Shelbyville, they are more than 500 wins behind Smiddy's record.

I am aware of Bradley Centrals Smiddy's record. White Coounty's Slatten got his 684 wins{boys and girls} in only about 12 years of coaching and his winning percentage was better than Prudden's, Insell's, or Smiddys. He coached his team to 65 straight wins, then later broke his own record of 65 with 79 straight from 1956-1958. A record that stood for almost 20 years.
