marlow50
Cleans are, in my opinion the best, and 310 is a great number.

buford
Seriously people. give me a break. people squatting 600 and benching 400 plus. that is crazy. I'm a senior in high school and i am getting into powerlifting. Those numbers are just plain ol stupid. that is crazy to say those numbers with kids that only weigh 180lbs. I mean be truthful. sharp
Well it may be true, because i m a junior at Lewis Co. High School and I' m doing 440 on bench and 605 on squat and 320 on power clean and i run in the low 4.4 range. I am 6 ft. 1 in. and weigh about 215. Our team is looking stronger than ever here at Lewis County. We have about 7-8 over 300 on bench, 6-7 right at 250 and we have about 7-8 over 400 on squat including 3 over 500, that would be the "BuS" and "Lumpy" and me at 605. It s still early, and this is just a little insight on us. David Sharp #
pbp1185
I think that the number of 600 squats on this post is rediculous maybe up to 10 guys in the state have squats over 600. I know its possible for a high Schooler to do it though especially with todays performance enhancers. Our coach went to Masilon High School in Ohio and he has a recent film from inside their weight room (he wanted to show us what our weight room is supposed to look like soon.) they had a record board and their record squat was from like '99 an offensive lineman squatted somewhere around 600. I think the guys in the NFL now though I'll watch the film again and post again when i find out the specs. This is no biased opinion, I dont care about Masilon it's just something I saw on the film. 600 is a great achievment congrats to anybody who gets their. BABOB
Nick Forte at Brentwood Academy benched 355 once this year. That previous post is a lie. Nick is only a Sophomore and he isnt on anything but dont get me wrong he weighs in the upper 200's
926
I'm just a little curious. Would the maxes quoted on this board be considered legal in powerlifting competitions? By that I mean are the benches brought to the chest without creasing the shirt, with a pause, with feet flat on the floor, with the butt on the bench. Are the squats done with actual freeweights or are they done on a squat machine? Are they done to parallell? There are some pretty impressive figures on here, regardless of technique.
